Well that fills me confindence

I know they are hit n miss quality

but ordered a couple of 1.7's for the FH HC05 DSG

the odd DSG sector with no COL cams on it

I was thinking of messing witht he m904g board

couldn't drop the HC05 in there coz 5mm axle

and only 9mm bearings with 5mm axle inners

(so not gonna drill the 904g box)

Could transplant the 904g pcb over

but means stripping two guns together in bits

& the 904g has 17awg & no option of AB on/off

(nor pre-cocking)

The Falcon pcb has AB on all the time,

the piston stops dead, well inside the cylinder

like only 1st 2nd tooth engaging piston rack

with tappet retracted about 80%

doesn't matter if you use 7.4v or 11.1v - it stops in same place

exact same place - so we are talking nigh on full AB on 904g

may not be a problem - but it might on DSG stopping on a tanner

if the DSG is stopped asap after passing sensor...

the last tooth on one half of DSG is at say 6 o'clock

(sensor is @ about 6:30 say)

Soooooooo if last tooth on one half is @ 6:00

that means the last tooth on other half is @ 12:00

which means it is pre-cocked big time about 80%

Oh that is going to great for response - if you motor doesn't stall

BUT also there is NO WAY to park the gun with spring released

or only partially pre-cocked to avoid spring fading/losing power

Now admit I haven't dropped a SHS DSG in the 904g

unsure if it would handle the stress of DSG

and likely need to re-do it with Alpha 16awg

BUT as far as I can tell, the 904g parks last tooth at say 6 o'clock

EVERYTIME and with a M160 spring it certainly won't overspin at all - likely stopping a whisker sooner with increased spring tension - thus the DSG would be precocked 80~90% everytime

and unlike the more fancy ETU's like perun where a long pull for 2 secs, will cycle gun one more without pre-cock on release

(or other refer to manual bollox fancy stuff)

So though untested, the Falcon in the HC05 was a possible...

but on reflection about the cycling & no adjustment

yeah perhaps not - now people might be able to use 904g as dsg

but I'm rather sceptical due to likely serious precock

now could know a tooth or two off from release side so it slips

but that fucks other shit up like tappet timing

so fuck that idea....

Soooo - though I'm not a fan of bells & whistles and shit

I did like the idea of using the T238 v1.7

which is the v1.6 with slightly better wires

which has AB control (they say)

plus precock options

yeah for the shitty HC05 the optical mosfet crap has merit

I mean to be honest I should just dump the poxy G&G DSG

and go with reg SHS ones on 3mm axles etc...

(I got 9mm bearing & bushings now to do it properly)

BUT where would the "fun" be in that ???

Soooo I've ordered some T238's for giggles

knowing their reliability is shit

but hey it's for the shitty HC05 as a last final option

(before I chuck the fucking dumb arse G&G sector)

I aim to pull the box out

sort out the DSG T238 crap

fit into a w@nked FFR A2 ETU gun

where the volume/barrel will gain fps from

305fps on 121mm barrel

to say 340fps on a 205 barrel - maybe 233mm

(it isn't 260 like some say - even G&G)

the FFR A2 is 205mm, other FFR variants might be 260

but the A2 is 205mm

anyway, fix the DSG, hopefully one T238 might work

the programming is wank - reconnect battery it seems

to program each step

but once set for semi & say 3rnd

or semi & binary

type of thing - I intend to leave it set for cqb

well that is a project I'm looking at & ordered them Thursday

so we shall see if they arrive by Chrimbo

and if any of them work - but fuck it I'll give it a crack over festive season

or just gut the cunts and go old school trigger switch & SHS DSG
