The casting is solid so that's luckily not an issue. There is a stainless steel pin that locates the barrel that I would need to press out first. The picture is illustrative of the sort of look I'm going for but not exact. At this point I've worked on the mill enough to be confident cutting a...
Thanks. That's a pretty good idea. A little more complex than my original plan to just cut the whole thing down but I'm pretty confident I can mount it square enough to achieve that. I also have access to wire eroders which might be the more accurate option
I'm planning on doing a custom TAC 41 build and I'm considering cutting off the top rail and replacing it with a higher 3d printed one. I have a 3 axis vertical mill at work that I could use but I'm still teaching myself how to use it and don't want to fuck it up when it's £110 for a replacement...
My lite chassis and recon stock arrived for my Tac 41 today. I am always impressed with silverback's plastic quality, I don't think I've come across any airsoft gun that uses better feeling plastic. I still have the full length barrel that came it came with so I'm going to design and print a...
I've tightened it up to keep it secure and that causes it to rub against my neck a little, nothing a collar doesn't stop but worth knowing. I think if you were going to put a holster on it you need it to be a bit stiffer, maybe with a sheet of plastic inside or something. It's pretty floppy so...
Got myself a bandolier and mag pouches that I can thow on when it's too hot for the plate carrier. It gives a kind of civilian defence vibe when you throw a jacket over it
We got wire edm machines at work so I had a go at cutting some picatinny rail on one. With some work i recon i can manufacture my scar rail in aluminium
I picked up a Holy warrior TA-02 recently. It's my preferred ACOG style with a battery powered illuminated reticule and a forward mounted red dot. It's still got the ACOG look but just modernised a bit. It's on the more expense side but it works and looks really good
