OK at this point it may be an actual addiction. Someone asked about a rail for the TAC 41P. They ended up changing their mind but the idea was planted so I made one anyway
I haven't printed this myself but I've designed an SD handguard for someone else's Tac-41L build. He wanted a handguard that would work with his integrally suppressed build so I made him this. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on his build.
OK last rail update. I shortened it by an mlok slot so now it's compatible with the 330mm barrel, printed all in black, sanded down the seam and gave it a (slightly ropey) coat of black krylon and now I'd say it looks the business. I'll put the rail and cheek piece up on cults when I can be bothered
That might be tricky. I can have a look for OD filament but it's incredibly hard to exactly match shades of green. I can probably get close but personally I think black looks better than a shade that's not quite right
That's not a bad shout. I figured someone would have made something like that by now. Annoyingly I just made an order from socom last week. That would have been a good thing to add to that then. Oh well
And today I got to put together the rail to go on the front. Unfortunately I ran out of black part way through but I have a can of black krylon somewhere.
That's not the problem I'm trying to solve. Basically I'm printing a rail to go on the front of the tac 41. But because of the large hop up dial on top of the barrel a rail that lines up with the existing rail would make it too low and interfere with the hop when you try to take the barrel off...
