still have my first and only AEG. Definitely a backup gun now and rarely gets used, but it’s not really worth much second hand and I like having it on hand as a reliable fallback.
Search ebay for micro or mini JST and you find what you need. Just match the pin count and pitch. Plenty of UK sellers so you shouldn’t need to wait too long.
Bit of duplication but Explosive Enterprises is far and away the best airsoft related channel in my book, closely followed by Badabing.
Honourable mention to Middle Aged Gamer, very thorough reviews though his delivery and mannerisms make him hard to watch for me.

Yeah, so I did a complete 180 on myself. Cheap K-zero clone but it holds everything I need and can quickly reconfigure it for different calibres etc. Given winter temps the extra heat won’t go amiss but will likely still go with a mini-rig next summer so this thread wasn’t...
Late update but Brownells had a BF discount on the CTR so ended up with a real one. Locks nicely onto my MWS buffer tube and feels very nice. Thanks for all the advice folks.

Beware that the DORs aren’t compatible with a lot of traditional HiCapa upgrades as TM modified the design.
They are reputedly very good out of the box. Also blinding price @BigStew - I am tempted.
Looking for a comms setup for me and the boy. I have zero interest or time to get a HAM license and I’m reasonably confident that the PMR power limit will be enough for the majority of sites we play at.
That said, there are still a bewildering number of options.

AAP01 has to be a contender. Cheap, great out of the box and enough aftermarket to take it in any direction you choose.
Or you can spend a bit more on the Lancer Tandemkross clone which is AAP01 under the skin but based on a real target shooting pistol.
A trio of 90rd mags for my new Saiga for the bargain price of £33 each courtesy of airsoftcentral
And an MP5 HPA adapter and Dead Drop grip from Airtac. The grip angle is too steep so have ordered a K2+ to try instead.
