Heh, welcome. I was in the same position, its a really big hole you're looking into. BUT.... its all good. Theres no need or rush to learn it all, some stuff just kinda sticks as you wander through your game days. As Mr Galvatron says, do the rental thing first, see if you actually like it...

Yup, home made mosfet. I have one i made up a while ago that i use for testing gearboxes after ive fiddled. They get REALLY warm!!

Cringe is having a spare room wall covered in awesome toys that you've lovingly tweaked and messed with so that they actually do what you want them to, only to work shifts and not get anywhere near a bloody game for at least 4 months... :( LOL. :D Anyway, back to work... :D
