Because of where it melted into the side of the stock I do wonder if there might have been mechanical damage when I adjusted the stock in a notch. Either way I am now rewiring the gun anyway so will be taking a look at that too but thank you for the thought. Really appreciate it.

Hi all, it's been a while. A little story time first... Had my first li-po fire the other weekend at an event in my 417. Rifle was on safe and slung waiting for the next game to start when I smell something funny and see whips of smoke coming out the stock... Needless to say stock was removed...
