    I found an EoTech replica with a 3x FTS was ideal, although a bit heavy (but worth it for the instant magnification changes). If you shop around you can probably get both of these for around £60, so it's reasonably affordable.

    Lol... on a side note, if you're good with internals you might consider buying a RAP4 & modifying for airsoft (would probably have to end up being a shotgun type m4, but hey for CQB that's all good.

    I've always thought the selector and mag release on the L85 are a bit stupid, and would really prefer it if it had M4 style controls. For real steel I'd hesitate to use it, as reloads are just too slow (at least twice as long as with my M15A4), but for airsoft it's good as you don't have to...

    I disagree. Once I managed to creep up behind 4 people nicely grouped together, only for my AEG to refuse to fire. I spent about 1 minute pulling the trigger in vain, before giving up and creeping away again. Since then I've always carried a pistol, although I've never had a reason to use it...
