    I believe (Key word - Believe) that a balance empties the battery in a sense, and then charges it to the capacity you have chosen. A standard charge just pumps in what you select, regardless, so you could charge and then charge, like I made the mistake of and fry your battery :(

    Confirmed^ You should set the Charge Rate (I) with regard the the #Mah on the battery. You can't really go wrong using balance and the right settings. Just don't repeat a normal charge sequence like I said about mine above :P

    I think it's the shape of mag itself as they go in but sometimes get stuck when loading. I'ts brand new unused, even with 3 or 4 bbs in they get stuck before the spring has released fully. I have spoken to the shop and should have a replacement on weekend. Thanks anyways!
