Hi im looking to get a AEG but not sure on the best one to go i want to gey a sort of all rounder, ive looked at an M4 online and think thats what i want. Ive used an m16 an ak47 an mp5 and i think a p90 or something like that. I like urban and woodland so i want a gun that can cope well in both enviroments. And i dont want to spend more than £250 includding spare mag, batterys and charger.

Any help and advice would be brilliant

Need to be 2 tone or not?

best basic m4

G&G cm raider

http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/index.php?so...ath=268_318_403

£120 without rails, £130 with rails

small batteries from component shop

http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/8vp1600afp-ll.html

http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/airsoft_chargers.html 3000mAh charger at £21

Magazines can be bought either new on ebay for about £14 or second hand for about £8-10

Should set you up for around £200 with a gun which is good for either woodland or CQB

Laser, cheapo laser off ebay with pressure pad, about £8 posted.

Sight are really u pto you and what you like the look off. A RDS is fine for airsoft ranges and the design or budget is up to you. I use a cheap open RDS which costs about £20. You can go up from there. If you want a scope then anything over 4x magnification is a waste of time at 40m.

M4 s are good if you want to swap and change bits around, you can RIS it, change Barrel lengths/Sights/Stocks etc and even Slagpul it.

IMHO there are far more options for the M4 than for any other AEG.

I have a long/standard Barrel one with standard Commando Carbine Forgrips, Bipod and a 4x 32 ACOG and another shorter barrelled one with RIS, flip up BUIS and a 551 Eotech clone.

I'd also say go for an M4.

As has already been said there is so many options for parts. Also with the high popularity of the M4 there is alot of second hand parts around if your on a budget.

If you fancy being a little bit different, everyone had an M4 but still have a gun that has loads of customisation then might be worth looking at a G36C.

They start at about £130. There are a couple of decent options:-

JG G36C with battery/charger £129.95 - BARGAIN! >>> http://www.airsoftworld.net/jg-g36c-assault-rifle-g608.html

or the one I've gone for...

SRC G36C without battery/charger £159.95 >>> http://www.armysurplus365.co.uk/src-g36c-g...-rifle-rif.html

The only reason I went for the SRC was the high torque motor is awesome and the Nylon Fibre casing is miles better than the ABS on the JG, but it depends on your budget.
