find somewhere where you can get a feel for both. £350/£400 is a lot to lay down on a rifle you have never held before.

Find a local airsoft shop, I work at Patrol Base in huddersfield, contact Firesupport and a few others around your area to see who has both in stock to shoot.

The AK is fantastic, outranging the original masada's by a LONG way - when buying one, avoid JDairsoft, their's aren't the UK spec and as such don't function properly when downgraded.

The newer masadas have had hop issues, all I seem to spend my day doing these days is replying to Emails about people with fucked ones.

Having said that, it does only appear to be the ACR rather than the AKM style which is useless, and for CQB the AKM would be my choice any day of the week.

Dave, I'm not 100% as to which weapons you're comparing, might just be some crossed wires, but the OP is asking about this AK:

Not the 'AKM' version of the ACR.

Chris: If you want an all round weapon and it's in your budget, my personal recommendation would be the ACR over the BP AK. The one thing the ACR particularly specialises in is 'all round', with the quick change barrel sets and quick swap spring in the gearbox you can change the length of the weapon and the FPS it fires in under 5 minutes with very few tools. Perfectly easy to do in the safe zone while at a game.

magpul bta project or the magpul masada. I do cqb and oudoor airsoft

He mentions the Masada, so I thought I would mention them too.

another thing, the AK takes normal AK mags but not the AKM mags, the AKM ONLY takes AKM mags.

As a 'pickup and go' all rounder, the AK would be my choice, I play with all 3 all day every day as part of my job, they all handle very well (altough the AK gets front heavy very quickly with only a few Rail mounted additions)

for owning a single rifle which can be used in different circumstances, as CK said, the ACR/AKM would be the way forwards.

My choice of the two would be AKM due to folding stock, shorter barrel from the box and an identical performance in range and accuracy.

If you mishandle guns, go for the ACR, it is by far the most 'club-like' with next to no moving parts on the outside.

If I was going to get the ACR I would buy the folding stock and I would get a new hop unit I mean so far I think i'm going to go to a local shop like Dave said and ask if I can have look at all three ACR AKM and the ak but judging by what you to have said I think I will buy one of the two masadas the only thing I worried about was the fact that the ak is limited edition so I might never be able to get that again where as the masada isn't going anywhere but I'm still not sure if the ak is limited edition I'm pretty sure it is but did any of you two know

Of all the Hong Kong stores I've seen stocking the Beta Project, I've not heard any mention of it being a limited run. If that were the case then the sites selling it would be plastering the fact in massive red letters all over the place in order to promote sales, and that just isn't happening.

Hope you liked the video, any suggestions/feedback etc drop me a message and let me know what you want to see.

Your L85 probably has a problem with the inner barrel, mine had that until I got it sorted recently and it's fairly common with this specific rifle. Did you buy it new a year ago? If so, I'd look in to buying yourself a new barrel, that should solve your accuracy problem.

thanks yh I bought it new and I alwys wondered what was wrong what barrel would you reccomend

Anything but the m4 style. I like the fold under stocks on AKs

yh I know what you mean but if I was to stick a fold under stock on it it would be a bit awkward if I had attachments on the bottom rail but I guess I could change it to a regular ak stock
