Got a brand new Cyma XM177, every time I plug in a battery it beeps at and the gearbox cycles/ it fires, on safe and single shot it fires once, on auto it continues to fire until the battery is disconnected.

Anyone know what the issue is and  how/ if this can be fixed

Thanks

Sounds like the Mosfet is knackered. Or there is a short in the wiring.

Brand new you say?

Did you buy it from a UK retailer? Did you buy it recently? If yes to both, stick back in it's box and send it back under warranty. Don't dick around trying to fix it yourself.

This. If you do and can't fix it then there's a high chance you'll have made any warranty invalid

Yes brand new out the box, no i haven't attempted to do anything to it myself.

Good and good. You don't need any help from us - let the retailer sort it out.

Good luck - I hope it gets sorted in a timely manner.

Well, that, but as above, it's not your problem to figure it out.  Don't let them fob you off, or start billing you for anything, including postage. If necessary you can reject it and claim your money back.

Definitely send it back and don't accept anything less than either a replacement at  no extra costs or a full refund.

Let us know how it goes as IMO how a shop deals with problems after a sale is a better indicator  of how good their customer service is than how a customer is treated before the sale is made

Are you trying the battery that it came with (assuming it did)

Cyma Platinum-based AEGs do not come with those nasty batteries or chargers that are often bundled with the cheapo guns.
