I have been to my local site 6 times, and I am already poor but at least I have cool rifs and gear now. Based in Bucks. I've been doing skirmish style games but I'm super interested in getting into some more immersive MilSim kind of stuff, any recommendations on that would be much appreciated.

Anyway, good to be here and look forward to seeing u all around.

Ahoy and welcome. Buying can get addictive, you might want to pause for a bit and just play (I mean, so we all say, don't ask what we do).

Good call on trying something more immersive. Even filmsim (casual milsim or themed days) knocks it up a big notch from a regular skirmish.

CQB is also worth a try if you can find that locally, it's more intense.

Unfortunately I am kind of obsessive, I got a cheap Nuprol to start and immediately knew I'd be doing this going forward so figured I'd just get something decent. And I love the gear and customization aspect too so down that rabbit hole I went. Can't wait to post my custom helmet stuff around here somewhere.

I am researching a shorter upper and barrel for my carbine so I can switch it out and CQB too that is definitely on the table!

Try Gunman Airsoft for FilmSim, or more casual MilSim events.  Very well ran and a good bunch generally

I'd second this try one of their filmsims, they're good fun and if you enjoy the team work side of things Okto8 might be worth looking at if you want to try a weekend event that is even more roleplay based 👌

Welcome. I can defo recommend CQB. For me it's much faster paced and more intense which gives more immersion. I hate seeing someone in the woods who is out of range as this reminds me it's just airsoft, but in cqb generally any shot is within range which adds that realism.  Also you really gotta watch your back more as it's easier to flank. Anyway along as you play your way and have fun then your doing it right. :)

Thanks for the recommendations, I am looking at Gunman and when I can book a weekend there, I'll check out Okto8 too.

Much appreciated!
