What are you using as a counterweight bud?

I should think the spare wheel off of a mini would do 😄😉

I’m hoping to have a strong neck like an F1 driver, that’s my plan.

If it was me it would a copy of the finance paperwork, the only way I could get a setup like this. ;)

I'd love an nvg setup so I'm just green with envy. :)

I ended up going real for mine, unfortunately metal prices have been going up recently so they're not as cheap as they were. Alternatively you can get a repro and add your own lead weights.

The reason I ask is I found mine really pulling my helmet down, in turn pushing my safety glasses into the bridge of my nose , very uncomfortable

I have an Emerson counterweight “pouch” fitted to the back of my helmet, and installed a metal torch to see if it helps, it did a bit.

but it needs more weight, so a visit to B&Q today to see if I could get a large bolt. The intention was to fill the treaded area with washers then a nut at the end. But the bolts in the “Pick n Mix” hardware section are just pot metal with little weigh to them

might look into a fishing store and see what I can find

I have also heard of folk using wheel balancing weights. They have adhesive tape, so just stick them together to make a block 🤷🏻‍♂️

See my previous post.

If you use the “golf” weights, you can add or remove them easily and they can be cut down to suit your desired weight.

They also bend so can conform to the shape of your helmet. No pouch required.

“Golf” lead weight strips, tape, Velcro…counterweight done for less than £20.

Could you provide a link, interested.
