Newbie in Herts

Well hello!

 

I'm today's newbie, been lurking on the forums for a while but actually decided to post today whilst aggressively avoiding working.

 

I'm based in Hertfordshire but will be mostly being a rental scrub at Red Alert in Newbury at first to get my UKARA, because I like driving long distances on a Sunday morning as that's where the people I know have started - so I'll be there this weekend.

 

I've bought a shit ton of MTP, am I doing it right?

Sounds like you have the right plan.  Rent first then think about weapon later.

Priorities are good eye protection (search forum), face pro (recommended but not necessary) and boots with ankle support.

 

You should go to a local site for the first 3 games to get UKARA registered.  You'll meet other friendly players there.

Red Alert's my local site but I've not actually been yet (weekends are a logistical nightmare), heard lots of good stuff and @GAMBLE keeps posting YT videos of it to keep showing me what I'm missing 😂. Am sure you'll have a great time there.

I’m also based in Herts, there’s a few good sites around to try out if you don’t want to travel as far as Newbury!

Cheers! I definitely do want to play local when I can, but once a month is probably all I can manage at the moment so figured I'd stick with the guys I already know to begin with
