Asking for a Friend....

Well actually a work acquaintance who went to a place called "Ultimate Airsoft Range" in Liverpool at the weekend and is now hooked. She knows I have airsoft guns so was telling me all about it but funnily enough didn't realise skirmishing at a proper site was a thing. She genuinely thought I just invited friends to my place, where we ran around the house and garden shooting each other.

So I'm now tasked with recommending a good site for her and her daughter to attend. She's based in Liverpool and I'm all the way down in Surrey, so would appreciate input from you guys!

Indoors or outdoors?

Outdoors, Alpha 55 is good. Not the biggest site, but the games are run well, rental kit is included in £30 for the day and they have a variety of different game types (before they devolve into shooting anything that moves).

Indoors, Level 2 airsoft is about an hour away from Liverpool city centre. That's a great site, well run, lots of good props to add to the game and keep things interesting, rental kit seems decent, and they're good at keeping things running smoothly.

The Mill is 50 minutes away, but I wouldn't rate that as highly as Level 2.

Send her this, it seems to be kept up to date...

It'll also give her an idea of the scale of the sport and make her realise just how much we aint just nutters* running around in our back yards 😜

Just to add another pro for Level 2, they have a tap-tap-pause rule that they enforce strictly, so it'll be less intimidating for people new to the game as you haven't got people overshooting or 'spraying' on semi (looking at The Mill).

Was also thinking about which "airsoft celeb" videos to link her too - what do you guys reckon Novritsch or Kicking Mustang? 😉

When i'm introducing people to the sport i send them Levelcap's airsoft playlist - he came into the sport as a newbie and has a nice pace and style of commentating which I think would be pretty appealing to newbies and he tends to explain things nicely. It's a shame that he actually quit airsoft, but I think his vids are still pretty relevant and entertaining.

She may also like to check out some female airsofters... Jet's wife Leah for instance.
