Very few speedsofters are chavs. I know a lot and most are generally are university students or have a decent career. Thousands of pounds worth of hpa kit and dye masks and clothes are out of the reach of your average dolie dope smoking chav. I wear an i4 and have been known to knee slide often but am I chav? No I am far from it, don't label people you obviously don't know.

I get that I take the piss out of the ones I know for looming like tactical elves but in all fairness it works well for their requirments. Had a hot day a month or so back and everyone was struggling but these guys with their light loadouts were still going strong. Heard a lot of players making shitty comments about how they dressed that day but heard a lot of speedsofters complimenting the loadouts of the more military minded players. Just food for thought.

Man, you have no sense of humour at all do you? Or is it because I said it you took exception to that one thing? Are you a chav then?

You've assumed a chav has no money and can't afford HPA rigs, most are drug dealers and earn more money in a week than most of us do in a month. Anyway, it was a joke, I wasn't being serious. You must admit, in their beanies and trackie bottoms, speed-QBers/softers look like chavs.

So yeah, don't label people you don't know.

Was more a joke, obviously taken wrong..

I've played many a hot day with airsofters deciding its an awesome time to wear full rigs etc and im just running a tiny chest rig with just mags... got the same sort of comments but meh everyone can do what they want, wear what they want etc etc as long as they play fair who gives a shit

Nah not taken wrong just putting it out there before everyone else jumps on the beat the speedsofters band wagon.

Exactly all that matters is how you play. You can wear cheap or gucci, run a PTW or a cyma but all that matters is when you step out you are wearing the right attitude (and face pro always the face pro).

I just do not see the point.

There is no skill, its who can run and spam the trigger at the same time.

I can see the point in a competitive style game for small squad based games. ie Who can take the village, or capture the VIP the quickest with the least casualties using the least ammo or stealthy style gameplay etc..

Albiscuit: do you think it’s possible possible to combine the indoor super quick game & the long Milsim type various objective game on a large (football pitch) size field obviously with various bunkers & obstacles.

Looks about as much fun as getting teeth pulled.

Its like theyve taken the worst bits of paintball, and the worst bits of a regular walk-on day full of hicap hero rental chavs in teflon trackies and combined it to make something even worse.

I can absolutely guarantee this guy hangs out in ASDA carparks after dark in a Vauxhall Corsa with a crap badly applied body kit he got off eBay blasting RnB through a sound system that cost more than the car trying to impress questionably legal aged girls so he can use his well practised speed finger in the back seat.

I'll take crawling through bushes for hours to get that one perfectly aimed shot over running around spunking their HPA high cycle everywhere like a teenage boy whos discovered pornhub for the first time.

Speedsoft style games on a more intricate arena than a field with a few bouncy castles is a good idea. It would be a good middle ground and with the speed of land development lots of sites are going to have to think how to best utilise smaller play spaces.

Despite the fact that unless I knew this guy I wouldn't be using his pic to cast such aspersions. Your comments are funny and hopefully meant that way ;)

Take away the HPA rigs and hi-capa raceguns , and EVERYONE has to use the same level of stock AEG and pistol (not brand specific just all at a similar level of performance) just so they all fall within a set parameter of rates of fire/fps so we have a level playing field for all .

Then i’d show a bit of interest but as is with chav cam covered HPA trigger spammers hero sliding and john woo rolling all over the place ? Nope sorry bud not my cup of tea thanks .

Ahoy and welcome.

Oh, this defunct thread?

Not really my thing, but if you do go ahead with a competitive team based site, I'd suggest having and emphasising a sportsmanship rating system along the lines of ultimate frisbee's spirit scoring system in order to recognise and laud fair play as well as win-at-any-cost.

Like your response - Proactive !

Despite you ending in "Nope sorry bud ......." I will take your entire comment as vital feedback as you make reference as to what you (and I'm sure others) don't like.

Where could I post that reaches a huge/the most number of Airsofters including suppliers, players, sites, media, basically anybody that has an involvement in Airsoft requesting their own views & to put forward their own Questions?:

Pro's & Cons of their own games be it CQB Milsim or whatever their gameplay. Simply asking a number of questions based on getting a definitive answer that can be used to develop or not what players want from a field-based Airsoft game not copying any other but taking the best parts of each where possible.

Some questions but not limited to: What kit, what rules, what field size, what style of bunkers, what style of games, can the grassroots version be scaled to leagues and tournaments, how and where these events are held, HOW TO STOP CHEATERS.

Any suggestions of where to post?

Facebook.

*On a personal note nothing about speedsoft interests me. I stopped playing paintball because of all the trigger happy players running about lobbing 5 shots a second in my direction. There is certainly a market for it however, so good luck to ya!

We do have a section specifically for this: https://airsoft-forums.uk/clubs/

Where you can update your own little subforum with events etc., but it should be noted that it's really for site owners and teams. This might not be a fit.

Truth be told though that most people don't use this forum for finding information on sites from what I've seen. Typically it's discussion, reviews of gear and general chat. Facebook may be a better option for reaching a wider audience, but there's nothing to stop you from doing both.

Facebook groups, addicts, comrades,  UKAC, pew pew and lots more places where you will get a more balanced answer than on here.

This place just likes to spew lack of understanding and hate lately which is far worse for airsoft than and speedsofting hpa using trigger spammer will ever be.

I've got nothing against this.  But age and fitness probably means it's not for me.

Twenty years ago I would have probably given it a go.

Cheers

I guess it depends on your style of gameplay, nothing can be discounted at this stage.

I've seen a couple of dismissive posts but most seem reasonable (albeit highly personal) opinions on the OP.

Any any case there is certainly a fair imbalance on here, @ACA and you will almost certainly get more actionable information on various FB groups when it comes to this specific topic.

Any response is good. It shows people actually care enough to comment even if it is only after someone raises the point. Rather than raising the point themselves they will sit and stir in their own disgruntled feeling spouting how crap someone or something is to anyone that will listen which is no good in any way shape or form for Airsoft.

I would echo the comment above about a level playing field. I suppose what I dont like about the idea of competitive arisoft is people paying for an advantage through better/quickers guns, system set ups etc. If everyone had the same gun, mags and number of bbs or at leat had to have a similar set up then it would allow people to compete on skill rather than who can shoot the quickest/furthest/fastest which speedsoft to me seems to be about.

I suppose I personally see airsoft as fun and enjoy the tactical element. Quick games of chucking 1000s of bbs around do not appeal to me, a few well placed shots and move on.

Constructively, if I were playing competitively in an arena, I reckon I'd be happy keeping it small and simple and intense, and crammed with cover.  More gun, less run.

I'd want an experience that's distinct from woodland (or large indoor CQB) as possible.

As to how to promote it, phew, that's a tough one.  Sure, "Facebook", but that means manually pushing it to every site, regional and player group that you can find, or paying for ads and hoping that Facebook will target them effectively.  If there's an easy and free way to target all UK airsoft players, I can't think of it.

That's a great response I like your thinking on the game side of things. Social media and online editorial?

Airsoft is already like that my guns fire ridiculously quick on single and I often get accused of full auto. My current project the trigger is so twitchy it has fired from me putting it down too hard.

Got any more info on that?  It might help the OP.

https://www.facebook.com/speedqbuk/ appears to be a damp squib (if it's not, they're hiding it well) and their website is perpetually coming soon (or come and gone).

The arena stuff looks like fun, to be fair.  Geezers crawling through bushes complaining about our bum knees don't have a monopoly on pewing. [UPDATE] Jinx!  Did we find that video at the same time? ;)

haha speedqb uk there's a story. Suffice to say its not longer a thing. There's a more grassroots tournament being ran by opspeed and legion right now (yes it paintbally, no that is not the be all end all)https://www.facebook.com/OpSpeed-Airsoft-Tournaments-421137991707955/?fb_dtsg_ag=Adx2BAS71zp8bRX1THroRTxQfdN67moo_70cH69mI4nY8Q%3AAdwp_IRaTHiIVp8E6Nrb-GAbb0IAAj4K6FhgaUMbZndgbg. But hey its a start

Oh boy. Don't get me started.

Lazy excuse a surprising amount of people take.
