TheKempyy Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Afternoon all, Just a small thread together to talk about good missions we have all played in the past. Mine: Battlelakes - Domination Two teams on either side of the 'real world', with various land marks in play. Each team had to hold each land mark and defend. What made it great is the area and having to use maps to navigate through. Seem to remember the enemy pushing us right back to the spawn point with us having to flank and outmaneuver them quickly, which we managed to. Well if you insist! 😉 has to be 10-12yrs ago ? UCAP tunnels a limited numbers Alien themed game day . So you had three teams , colonial marines (my team) had to wear either CM uniforms or Multicam nothing else , colonists in civilian clothes , and a small team (as we thought) of Wayland merc’s in matching PMC kit . Game start we move in to the tunnel complex and first thing you realise is if you ain’t got a torch your screwed AND there playing the music from Alien through the PA system😱 , so if THAT don’t get the heart pumping then your already dead ! So we move in and initially the civi’s are happy to see us but then they start turning against us , then the Murc’s turned up and there were a lot more than we’d originally thought AND just for good measure they chucked an Alien in the mix ! Not only was it an Alien (and a bloody good one at that !) the guy was wearing a seriously good Zenomorph head and a thick black diving suit so was totally immune to any hits plus he had an audio player on him that played the motion tracker sound so when he was anywhere near you you could hear him coming closer and closer and you knew there was F**k all you could do about it except run ! 😂 think it’s safe to say in 18yrs of playing that was the best game ever . Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted August 3, 2018 Supporters Share Posted August 3, 2018 it was just a regular skirmish day at our local site, but there'd been a bigger than usual attendance and we were doing our usual forest push game. basics are it's a long thin stretch of forest on a hill (left side is high right side is low), attacking team starts at one end at the top and has to push all the way along to the other end at the bottom, then push out into the open and get one man into a tower. attackers are a 30 step back respawn, defenders 30 steps back but no re-advancing. at the start of the game we noted the enemy team was planning to set their m60 up to cover the top lane, so we agreed as a team that we'd all rush the bottom. cue a beautiful section of us all bounding forward in proper military fashion (albeit not co-ordinated, it just sort of happened) with people properly covering those who were moving up.
