Is it time for Lada jokes?

Why do you fit twin exhaust to a Lada?   So you can use it as a wheelbarrow.

How do you double the value of a Lada?  Fill the petrol tank with fuel.

Why does the Lada have a heated rear window?  To keep your hands warm whilst pushing it.

Yeah I get to see quite a few nice cars. My ole man has had more cars than I’ll ever own. He had 76 in one year.... no joke either.

Loved the cobra, but it just wasn’t the GT500.

How can you even spend money on a Punto?

They're popular here in Italy only because they're cheap af, you can find them for less than €500...

It's a shit car.

I got that from my dad about 9 years ago for passing my test. Drove to Southend the same night, also got three points that same night...

The current stable. Had the 924 for about 21 years, the Z3 for 15 and the TT for 4.

Nice @Nick G which has been your favourite??

I wouldn't want to part with any of them. The Porsche feels so solid but is a bit agricultural and I have done loads to it over the years. The Z is great in nice weather, there is nothing like driving top down on a sunny day, the TT however is probably the one I would keep if I could only have one. It's a truly classic shape, the interior is amazing and it goes plenty well enough for our congested roads and eats up the miles. That said its having a few suspension tweaks and will be having a custom remap next year . All the hairdresser jokes don't bother me in the least, a quick blast in the TT on a twisty back road usually shuts em up, same for the 'not a proper Porsche' comments . Even had some bloke in a cayenne tell me that in a car park.....really, you're driving a toureg in bad drag with drug dealer tints on your windows and mines not a proper Porsche Lol. Had a couple of MG's to and a Caterham that I built from a kit, that was lots of fun !

Some nice motors right there. I find it funny that many of us have the same tastes in hobbies. Bikes/Airsoft, Cars/Airsoft, and also the same cars as others.

Small world.

My taste in cars is totally practical. Don't care what it is provided it's good on fuel, cheap to tax, and cheap to repair. With enough power to overtake.

So I present my little animal. It's an absolute rocket to 40mph.

75mpg, £30 tax, 92hp.

Looks your grandmother can approve! Fully galvanised body and chassis! Group 8 insurance lol.

It's just a stock image. So I don't care about the number plate as it's not mine!

As for the car I want... well that's in equally bad taste.

Lada Niva, original shape.

Had a few nice cars over the years. Started in French hot hatches, 106xsi and Clio 172 cup. Then had an Evo for a bit. Sold that to buy a bike but still get to drive nice cars daily at work.

My steed has plenty of room in the trunk, takes a full load of gear and I can still sit in the boot. Just to show off it even has an air conditioned glove box to keep my water cold for the field.

My favorite piece of nerd tech is the electronic dash, has my sat nav or map right next to the speedo.

I haven't had the most amazing cars but I'd think myself as lucky considering what I have had and I'm still only 20 :D

First car was this machine:

MK6 Fiesta 1.25 Petrol + ST170 alloys cos I love em

fiesta.thumb.jpg.40e0bed34c5b09cbfa90411efb670dbf.jpg

Then decided I needed MORE POWER for my second car and at the age of just about 19 got myself into a lil' bit of financial trouble because I got an '04 Audi A3 3.2 V6 DSG which I still love to this day but I didn't love the repair bills or insurance cost

20170924_155019.thumb.jpg.2a3d8b8968e88906b7aa3a159003e307.jpg

After I finally decided to move on from that expensive chapter I sold the Audi and got a BMW E46 325Ci

20171015_151054.thumb.jpg.7f00fed90fde5169b3c602900a3c5b15.jpg

20180128_160202(0).thumb.jpg.e666db7dc0f8606e8602b12c9c1bfc96.jpg

(The V10 badge you see on the left side of this photo is my old man's S6 Avant 5.2 V10 - where I got the inspiration for my Audi from so I blame him for that little hiccup :P)

I originally planned on making the E46 into a project type car so along with that I bought a little run about MK4 1.9 GTTDI Golf which I LOVED just because of how much I didn't care about it, it was the care free driving in terms of the "oh what's that noise? eh i don't know *turns up radio and continues*" type of attitude I could adopt whilst driving it as it barely cost me £500 and saved me A TON on fuel coming from my petrol past. Unfortunately  my little diesel beater died after about a year or so of driving. Well, I say died but it was more the fact there was a hideous grinding noise coming from somewhere under the bonnet and that mixed with the "STOP" warnings on the dash after a week or two was a good enough hint to say maybe it was time for her to go

Plus the £100 I got for scrapping it went towards my AEG so can't complain!

A moments silence...

20180523_192413.thumb.jpg.8d957fbcf924f2acfb7fcad23f10c038.jpg

Now I'm fully insured on the BMW so I daily that which is a bit more pleasant to drive, MOT in about a week though so we'll see if she's still running as well as ever

And just another bit cos I thought you guys might appreciate this...

I was in Sweden visiting one of my mates there and he got his uncle to drive to his house so I could see this old beauty. My absolute dream garage queen and let me ride shotgun for a few laps around town in it!:D

Without a doubt one of the best days of my car guy life :D

This is a photo I got of it on the dockside during sunset (little bit of colour correction to make it a bit more vivid)

I love my car. Smooth to drive, great for long distances, and if you put it in Sports mode and activate kickdown it has a beastly acceleration. But it does have a low part of the roof above the door that's easy to whack your head on if you're not careful. Evidenced below, after a moment of aforementioned cranial contact. Also, not the best ride to try and get down the bumpy dirt tracks at airsoft sites. Also has a tendency to decide to emergency stop without warning - usually when something blows in front of one of the sensors and it think's I'm about to crash at 40mph into.... a leaf. 🙄

I feel your pain!

My BMW isn't lowered or anything, just on standard M-Sport springs but getting it down the lane to Skirmish Billericay is a slow process:lol:

This one's fitted with very soft springs, one of the reasons we chose it. Haven't been to Billericay, but Coms Site in Banbury is a nightmare to try and get down.

The sportier springs in mine are a killer on your back if you don't take care! First time I went down their in it when I got out the car I felt like id already done a few games running about cos my back was pretty rough 😂

Oh I know, but that track was deadly. I have a 4x4 and it was worse than some trials I have been too!
