Can I respray a two tone to another colour?

If I bought a two tone and resprayed it to another colour like purple is it still legal to use at cqb or skirmish sites?

Yes, the only way you can be on the wrong side of the law here is by making it into a realistic imitation firearm by either being less than 51% brightly coloured or by spraying it back to black/tan/whatever it was originally.

The regulations provide for two new defences. The first is for the organisation and holding of airsoft skirmishing. This is defined by reference to “permitted activities” and the defence applies only where third party liability insurance is held in respect of the activities.

 

 

 

tl;dr version - you can spray it any colour you like as long as you can show (note, show, not just assert) that the purpose is to play airsoft at an insured site.
