How do matey and welcome, if your of the more ‘manly physique’ I’d recommend a chest rig as they normally go really big and if need be it’s a doddle to exten the straps a bit to make it even bigger ,

somthing like this if you want all the pouches ready attached ;

 http://www.taiwangun.com/en/chest-rigs/assault-chest-rig-atak-fg-8fields?from=listing&campaign-id=19

or if you want to build your own start with one of these and then decide what set up you want .

+1 for a belt.  You really don't need big areas of molle.  I run various combinations of 3 x MP5 mags, 3 x STANAG (with another 3 on the stock), 4 x sniper mags, a pistol, 2 grenades, and/or a dump pouch on a belt, with a radio hooked on the back where the shoulder straps cross over.

It also keeps you cooler.  The downside is that there's nowhere to stick those sweet, sweet patches.

Wear clothing with female velcro patches, or even add your own velcro to your clothing.  I also have several patches on my Fast helmet;  baseball caps are an option.  There is always somewhere for a forum patch. :)

The chest plate I've bought goes up to a size 50 inch (UK size) waist. It comes with everything you probably need. Bit on the pricy side unless you have some nectar points you can use like I did through eBay. Here's the link.

I borrowed the MK1 version and loved wearing it, although my mate had put his own touch on it. So I bought this and recently fit it so it'd be comfortable and it's perfect. I've taken all the additional gear off it for now but it's perfect for my needs.

Here's an option.

http://www.flyyeindustries.com/ArticleShow.asp?ProdID=0588 (Available in 10 colours)

I just bought one and I barely fit in the lowest fitting (32inch waist). Cost about £60 to import. Asian sites list it for about £33, but add on everything else...

Mother of god. I've never paid that much for a RIF.

Hahaha. I thought it was expensive too but I really liked the feel of the MK1 version.

And like I said I had quite a few nectar points so I get a good few quid off.

Im a 24stone fat ass and I use a viper chest rig. fit 6 mags and has a space for a pistol and 2 pistol mags.

https://www.vipertacticalshop.co.uk/special-ops-chest-rig.html

for me in my vest I usually just have 6 mags a dead rag spare battery speed loader and a bag of BBs as a back up and it works fine. plus its pretty light weight and non restricting so doesnt get int he way when my rolls fight for space when going up hill or over obstacles.

Condor do some good stuff with plenty of straps on their chest rigs and good plate carriers.

I also use the viper chest rig and  XX/xxxl more xxxl tbh and it’s good. Fits everything I need in it 👍

if your after a vest apparently the condor exo in l/xl is meant to fit us larger built gents and is what I’m planning on getting next

Also been a larger chap (read fat b@st@rd!!) I've gone with a condor gunner lightweight vest, it's super adjustable, would 100% recommend. Hopefully in a few months I'll be reducing my notches a bit !!
