Hey all,

I've been thinking alot about adding something a bit special to my current set up and finally landed on the idea of a sound device that replicates real gun fire. I've been looking online and found a few long term projects from companies but none have caught my eye. They all sound good like this from B.L.TECH https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oHr1AN0RKYY and this (although more involved) from Celsius Technology https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OV2YpzQoI_g

I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with this or maybe can share something else similar.

No experience with these and in all honesty I wouldnt want too. I dont see the point in something like that and I can only imagine what a passer by would think on a stroll through the woods hearing realistic gun fire and seeing a bunch of guys running around in camo!!

I'll buck the trend and say that I quite like 'em.  I probably wouldn't use one, but I'd have no issues with them being used on a properly isolated site with the local 5-0 given fair warning.

Although they don't seem actually to exist.

https://www.facebook.com/bltechnologyNZ/ looks to be essentially defunct, and they were talking about many hundreds of eurodollarpounds even if it did go into production.

http://www.celciustechnology.com/body.php?id=items&iid=C-BANGs-CCW1 also appears to be 4 year old abandonware.

I mainly play CQB so want to be a quiet as possible, which is why I like my TM Mk23 pistol so much.

I suppose that it could add to the drama when quietly infiltrating a team into position and then going loud as you storm the stronghold behind the mk5 bangs.  Also some AEG guns have a terrible whine when fired so something to replace that may sound better. Horses for courses.

Agree with Rog, while it would add a nice element of realism (if everybody playing had them !), only extremely isolated or maybe mod sites would be suitable.

Anything else would end up with members of the public reporting terrorist training camps etc, & the media would be all over that.

Au contraire, I'd be happy with the guy next to me attracting all the attention and incoming fire. ;)

Haha too true!!

I suppose something (if everyone used them) for a milsim/immersion game but a normal skirmish hell to the no from me!

Heard/saw something like that at Battle Lakes a month or so OK, it sounded like the Western bullet 'ricochet' effect.

Everyone I was with thought it was a joke tbh.
