So Last skirmish out my nozzle on my G18C decided to blow out.

I thought rather than buy a new gun i would replace the nozzle.

My question really is can you use the WE G18C without the return spring?

As you can see in the atttachments the spring is a bit bent ;)

I have the new nozzle but need a spring if it requires it but cant find one.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Nozzle springs are really easy to come by usually. (try not searching your brand but simply "G18 nozzle spring", or G17/19/23 etc.
But to answer your question, if the gun is not short stroked, no it technically doesn't need it but it adds a better more consistent air seal.

try it without the spring and see how it goes, I would always recommend one but if the gun is totally stock then it should be fine.

Hi SCAR_Jester

thanks for the reply. IT is completly stock so no upgrades or anything.

I will reassemble and see how it goes.

I have a skirmish tomorrow night at The Mall so will test it there.

Thanks

If you can you can always dry fire it and see where the nozzle is when the slide locks back.
An alternative to a nozzle spring is a BIC lighter spring, they're much stronger than your stock one (and far too long) but the right size so you can cut it down :)

Well its back together and it works - may run it for a while without the spring and see how it goes.

I have run full mags on both single and Full auot and no misses or jams

So looks like all good.

Thanks for the replies
