Guest Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 I’m not daft, but by no means an electronics whizz either, I have an issue with a clone RMR of mine.  It works great until you turn it off, then it won’t turn back on again.  Take it off the mount, remove and refit the battery, it works again.  Tried a new good quality battery, tried packing the battery compartment for a tighter fit, makes no difference.  I’m out at the moment, but the only visible damage is a cut in the negative battery connector, looks likely caused by somebody incorrectly levering the battery out BUT as connector is a flat plate and only damaged on one side, there is still connectivity in the circuit.  Any ideas gratefully received.  Thanks  rdb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I’ve seen one before that when tightened down to a slide it deformed the terminal enough to short it.
