Hope you all had a good christmas :)

As we all know, Holland its Dutch residents have permitted airsoft in the last few years, and they have just as many rules as we do in some regards but its progress none the less.

I have a friend who plays and lives over there, near Amsterdam, and am looking to travel sometime in 2018 for a weekend of airsoft madness over there. What i can't see though is any advice for travel & regulation I would have to follow.

Can any body help?

Tried the EAA but the link they have is for a Dutch Form to fill in, which is way over my head, but loosely think it regards firearms and an exemption, but the information its looking for seems to be mostly related to real steel.

Thanks in advance,

Mark :)

Try these to translate the website and document.   Either download the document then upload to the translator, or copy/paste the text from each section of the form to google translate.

I’ve only gone through the start of the page and form, it does refer to weapons, but remember that airsoft guns are a form of weapon, and are legislated as such around most of the world, here in the UK they are in the area of low power air weapons as far as the Firearms acts are concerned and the VCRA only deals with the appearance of looking like a proper firearm.

Use translations as a guide and double check with someone who understands Dutch - your friend who already plays there is probably your best source

Ps

Going back a page to

https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&nv=1&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=https://www.justis.nl/producten/wwm/index.aspx&usg=ALkJrhjIVabpd3xpYYSU8UcXQP1hbKzAcw

I would guess that airsoft is in category IV and needs a ‘verlof’ Permit

That may be part of the main form, or you need a seperate process

PPS

Make sure you consider how you are getting there and back.

If by air then check the airlines policies on carrying airsoft guns (air weapons etc)

If by surface (sea, channel tunnel, road or rail) then check the policies of the rail/ferry/tunnel but don’t forget the countries you will pass through.

By surface you are less likely to be searched but you could end up in a world

of hurt if stopped randomly, get caught speeding etc
