Turns out the stock is from a Colt SAA 2nd generation, what they put with the actual branded buntlines in 1957. Barrel made from aluminium with brass internally, and a tanaka ejector. Assembles and disassembles as it was designed. Shooting at 0.9 joules and hops 0.32s on a flat trajectory at 40m, the limit of my garden. Probably a realistic 55m but the bbs will be travelling pretty slowly by then. Hammer mod to make the hammer sit more flush with the frame. Bottom one is also hopped but for 0.25s. Here’s a cheeky semi-only SR15 DMR build, excuse the aeg mag jammed in the magwell, it’s there to hide my HPA shame. That old school SR-15 setup pre-freefloat handguards is a real throwback, specially for those who know the old pre-NGRS TM AEG that's similar looking. My only grumble about them is I don’t like the stock hop unit. Max hop is not much and I like running considered shots with heavy BB’s.
