Cromulon1994 Posted January 21, 2022 Share Posted January 21, 2022 I sold a KHC Maverick that broke on the guy, refunded and took it back. A tab has sheared off a complex die cast part. I think the only way of saving it now is a conversion using a gas Marushin/ACM M500, which looks as if it will fit easily. Then all the detail work to do. Grip, stock and foregrip are all genuine. Real steel mag catch ready to go on . Fire selector modded for semi only. Externally she's all but there, though the internals still need some work. Special parts include a real MePro M21 sight, custom Galil midcaps, Bullgear RPK drum, and a heavily modified Bullgear gearbox shell and Retro Arms AK hop to fit together. If people really want it I can post a full build list, but I dont really feel like looking up the list right now... Supporters TheFull9 Posted January 28, 2022 Supporters Share Posted January 28, 2022 This is a fully personal thing, but you might want to maybe look at Magpul, BCM, B5, Reptilia, DD, Ergo, just a military M16A1 pistol grip or.. maybe anything else at all before FAB. Their stuff looks like it was designed by a child for nerf blasters or a supersoaker; though obviously if you want that civvie aesthetic vs a military type rifle then hey have at it. Will check out some of them other names for sure though. But so far the FAB defense stuff to my taste looks most modern and appealing as well as ergonomic. But hey that's what makes airsoft great is the near infinite range of customisation and styles and how everyone's taste comes out in their replica. @Davegolf nice rifle there bud. What grip is on it? Matches the modern military look to the rest of the AK. The receiver is the only part that gave it away as an AK to me.
