Hi All,

looking to buy buy my first gun, an MP5 like this one: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/Airsoft-smg/mx5-(mp5-sd6)-adjustable-stock-version---black.htm#.WaQ71EHTWEc

I would like to know what mounting supports would be needed for a holo scope and if a foregrip can be attached? I have issues with my wrist so would like the flexibility to change from a rubberised barrel and a foregrip if possible.

Thanks

The SD6 does not have any facility for attaching a foregrip, as it is based on a silenced model.  You would need to look at something with a railed front end to be able to add a foregrip to an MP5.  Something like this: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/ICS-MX5-P-MS1-Folding-Stock-3-Round-Burst-Black_A17OVZ.aspx?nh=124118#.WaU9KtHkWUk

Don't be such a quitter.

Take the SAS approach:

Then as seen on an Airsoft version:

Life.... uh... finds a way.. ;)

Honestly, an MP5 doesn't feel right without the signature underside grip. I mean sure, with an M4, it's big, it's long, and if you have open RIS, it's sharp. If you have the classic round handguard, it's bulky, so a vertical grip is a natural choice there. Same goes for the L85 which has a sort of M16-vietnam-style triangular thing going on. But the MP5 is compact. Sleek. Unassuming.

I think you'll be quite satisfied with an EOTech or compact Reflex sight, maybe a double mag joiny thingy for super quick reloads, because IMO that's really all you need on an MP5. If that.
