Hey guys, ive been after a DMR for awhile, and someone just offered me this:

Custom Stoner Rifle with G&G SR-25 front assembly and suppressor. Had this built and never got a chance to use it, just trying to move it out now...over $700 invested as it stands. Here's what she's got:
-Hurricane SR-16 Stoner Rifle metal body
-G&G SR-25 front assembly w/ suppressor
-M140 gearbox w/ MOSFET wired to DEANS
-Madbull V.II 509mm 6.03mm tightbore
-Madbull hard bucking
-Madbull ultimate hop-up unit
-180rd short hi-cap w/ Magpul
-CA full stock
-Leapers 4x32 scope w/ sunshield
-SPR full-length riser rail
-Magnum motor

for 200 USD. How's it sound? Ive always loved SR25s and I prefer the support DMR/sniper role, so i am interested.

USD? Are you in the US? Or will you need to get it shipped to the UK?

Yep, moved stateside over the summer.

From the sounds of it, you got a SR25 G&G front end on a normal M4

So it looks DMR but without the bespoke hop nozzle bollox

So you got easy to replace/upgrade basis with a

"My M4 is bigger than yours" looks

Sounds a good price to me

OK, good so far. My other option is to use the G&P M4 I have in the UK with a TROY TRX rail on it and start from scratch; as this will likely be cheaper I thought, why not.

You could do better with the hop combinations for squeezing range out of it - R-hopping I'd say is worth the effort on a DMR, or at the very least some flat hopping. Sounds good though.

true, but ill be upgrading it as well.
