Hi all! Back in August I bought the new G&G Firehawk HC05 and I Ilove it. I've had no problems at all so far and the firerate is insane. The only problem is that there is no single fire on it. I was fully aware of this when I bought it as I never had much intention to use single shot, and If I did I have my secondary to use. But now I want to travel a bit and go to some CQB sites and obviously alot of these places require single shot in some areas. So I'd love to have the option. Is there a way I can modify it so I can get single shot back? Thanks

options are:

programmable fet

or

shs dual sector gear + cut off lever

as I'm in a good mood at this odd hour....

pm him and he might cut ya a deal as he is member on here

(I'm thinking of doing that tell him)

don't think you get the shortened tappet plate for that price but you got one in there

note - you only got 1 pair of 9mm/3mm bearings + 2 x pairs of 9mm/5mm ceramics

so what you need is some 9mm bearings - but would strongly suggest bushings

9mm bushings are not easy to come by but got a set off fleabay 5ku type

(jeez I'm helpful)

you could also replace the gearset - bevel/spur with a 16:1 set - not any lower ones

as the shs dsg is designed to work with 18 or 16 gears - same size sector gearing

yup its a lot of pi$$ balling about to finish off something that G&G should done properly in first place

Or programmable mosfet setting 3rnd burst to single round burst - Kong 2

(might be able to use avacado burst but is not a proper fet)

And Kong 2 needs to be hardwired in to properly work

just plug n play a burst module won't protect your switch contacts

One day - I'll reshell the poxy gearbox into say a 233mm to 275mm G&G - Raider or CM18

Then just rebuild a normal G&G box with 12 or 13:1 which can when beefed up hit 30rps on 7.4v

that is plenty for me

still think dsg is overated tbh - but kudos for G&G for trying to bring out the first mass produced aeg

(alas they kinda cocked it up a bit I'm afraid - still a nice sexy loud mofo gun)

easiest option is kong 2 fet - strong coffee to get ya head round programming...

maybe fit deans and see how you go on mild juice maybe as a plug n play

if you open the box up - watch out - that spring is one bad ass mofo to get back in there on ya own

best of luck - if I can help just ask

Damn my mannn! You are very helpful! It's going to take me a very long time to process all this information since I'm a massive Newbie when it comes to the interior of airsoft guns. I've played for about 3-4 years but I've never bothered to learn to upgrade or fix a gun myself (main for being too scared about breaking somethiing) Actually the last time I opened up a gun it was my WE Hi-capa 5.1 pistol and I managed to break it. So it was out of action when I was at the NAtional Airsoft event. Really annoying. But a grew a pair and I managed to fix it. All that happened was the 3 metal prong things had slipped out of place, so not really a dramatic issue lol. Mainly due to expense, I don't want to mess with something and then have it broken or not as good as it was before. Maybe I'll do some more research before I try anything or I could maybe take it to Zero One in store and see what they can do. I really really appreciate all you've said man! Nice to know people are willing to help others!
