Alright so I've been wanting to buy my first AEG but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Note: No M4s please since that gun is really common and anything under 350 fps and it has to be two tone (since I'm under 18)

I've been looking at the Umarex G36c and UMP, Dboys PDW and P90 and the JG AUG-2

You can't buy an imitation firearm if you're under 18. That does not mean you have one though, any adult can buy an imitation firearm for airsoft use.

My advice to you though, take that £100, and keep it until you 'ave another £100 to rub together.

Remember to take into account the magazine sizes of the guns, (unless you use a hi-cap).

Assuming your parents buy you a two tone, you will struggle to find anything new and decent under £100.

You probably need to up your budget a little.

Look at JG and Cyma but they tend to offer be imported at over 350fps so you need to factor the downgrade in to your budget.

Okay what about the guns I've suggested? Are they decent? If £100 is too low, is it better to get something like a CYMA CM028u?

Never had them so cant criticise them but believe there are better products on the market from the feedback we get.

Dont believe Umarex actuallly manufacture so you would need to know who the maker is behind the name.

We use Cyma as rental guns and they are pretty tough and vfm, so yes.

they were £70 at LWA a few months back, being Ares a little bit of caution required perhaps

but alas they are long gone

if you like a fixa uppa and want a challenge:

(hmmm - think I'll pass)

best bet would be a JG G36c 608 mofo but need to splash a bit more cash for a good 2-tone model

just avoid sites with BB's in their title (they tell ya lies and sell ya crap usually)

yes I know I linked one in the broken gun offer but just demonstrating a cheapo option

though being Ares/Umarex I think I'll keep looking for a JG

It's better to use criteria other than price to determine the gun you will get.

The cheaper guns have a place in airsoft, my first primary gun, was a mere £155 + £32 for charger/battery. It's from a reputable budget line, in the upper tier of budget guns, imo, you get off budget guns between £180 and £250. But theres plenty of good stuff in the 100-200 range, but not really in the sub £100 range.

Please tell us, how much of your budget is for other gear?

Can always go shotgun route at that price? Wont have the range or rof of an aeg but it will be a better gun with regards to price compared to purchase

Get your dad UKARA registered, then you won't need the gun 2-toned. Plus he might enjoy it, then you can share a selection of guns between you.

With UKARA you can import weapons from somewhere like taiwangun.com

http://www.taiwangun.com/en/sub-machine-guns/agm-058?from=listing&campaign-id=19 Sten's are great if you want something different from everyone else that is accurate at good range.

http://www.taiwangun.com/en/electric-air-soft-guns/cm-028s?from=listing&campaign-id=19 The Cyma 028 range of AK's has a good reputation.

http://www.taiwangun.com/en/electric-air-soft-guns/608-jg?from=listing&campaign-id=19 JG G36's are pretty good reliable guns.

I would wait until you have a larger budget. Even if you find a decent gun for under £100, the additional costs will put it higher. You're probably going to want at least one other magazine, a smart charger, and a decent battery that, along with the one you get with the gun, will allow you to keep using your gun the whole day.

The other option would be to look at the second hand listings, you might find something with a few spare magazines for under £100, and the seller might be willing to two tone if you throw in a bit more cash to cover the paint.

Yo so sexiiiiiiiiist!

No. Persuading your Mum to play would also work. The OP however mentioned his Dad would buy the gun.

I can't BUT my dad can :P (as long as it's two tone)
