Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of any good places to go to in the UK that do MILSIM events?

Stirling Airsoft looks amazing, but are there any others anywhere.

Thanks.

Loads mate.

Depends what sort of milsim you want to do, but lots of companies run day long ones, weekends or continuous 36-48 hour ones.

Also depends on how far you want to travel to go to a game.

Judging by your profile location, there are good milsims at our Eversley site near Aldershot/Reading area. The Filmsim ones are our top tier games.

You are definitely starting to border on advertising.😒 Might give a filmsim game a run next year when it warms up again, until then keeping my arse indoors.

You big fairy. It's lovely outside when it's minus 5. Its what separates the nutters from the normal people 😀

Dont mind the cold just getting wet. Hate wearing long sleeves when playing airsoft and definitely wont wear waterproof crap.

I like to play join the welts on a Monday think I am a different sort of nuts.

Sounds like Invite Only airsoft games, where players get secretly vetted by members during a game day and if considered sporting and able to take their hits can be invited to join the list of players for closed (invitation only) games. Good way to get like minded players together and keep the chavs out. Similar to secret shopper but with guns ;)

Because that's a great way to get good press in a small hobby community. :/

Since they sell out every event anyway I'm not sure they need the press.

I expect their motivation has come largely from (elitism inbound) wanting a better quality of player to go to their events. Been to a few stirling games that've been ruined by people turning up and treating it like a Sunday skirmish.

Actually I'm all for that kind of inclusive for the reasons you mentioned, just not people talking about it. :P

However if this is a real problem, perhaps running duplicate events would be the way to go, the private event and then the public event the following week. Got to be more money that way too, and less work for duplicating?

Alternatively, the public event first, to ensure a higher quality event for the private later.

Ah OK.

Smudge at Combat Airsoft Group is starting to run some good hardcore milsim games up in the north east.

Gunman do intermediate level one day milsims at their Norwich site, we have a weekender at Tuddenham near Thetford in April and Zoro XM have just launched a new theme on Facebook today, which will be played at Tuddenham as well.

That probably covers the whole gamut.

*****SITREP****

OPERATORS,

As most of you are aware, TIER 1 have not conducted any events so far during 2015 and it is very unlikely that we will do for the remainder of the year.

Although it was not a planned break, but brought on by various let downs and cancellations from the MoD, it has been a good time to reflect on TIER 1, MilSim and Airsoft in general and what we originally set out to do.

TIER 1 is a high end Military Simulation organisation specialising in realistic military combat situations and scenario's. We only use Airsoft technology as it is the current best weapon system.

Unfortunately, this attracts the Airsoft/Milsim community.

80% of that community that attend TIER 1 events are simply not able to participate in the manner we require for our events to unfold correctly. The bi-product of this is that you get dragged in to the quagmire and discussion, ridicule and a down right playground level of criticism by the community that should stick to regular airsoft only and not attend TIER 1 Combat Operations.

The remaining 20% are what we need for our events to unfold correctly and we applaud and appreciate those in this category that have attended the events and have immersed themselves completely and dug out blind, be it in an Urban or Rural environment. Massive thanks to you.

To that end, TIER 1 have decided not to put on public events in 2016, but concentrate on intimate and private hardcore Milsim events only. These will be invite only and be called:

TIER 1 - Sub Operations.

Please do keep an eye on this page and the website during 2016 for these events.

We will send out invites to the right player base and if the event(s) still have places, we will open these up to other individuals and to teams we deem suitable.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all of the support to date from the right people.

Should you have any questions, please PM here or email: [email protected]

Regards.

Ed.
