L85, FAMAS, SCAR -L, FN2000 and the huge multitude of M4 variants all have one thing in common in the real and Airsoft world.

They all use STANAG magazines:

So yes if your L85 was made by either one of the big brand Airsoft companies chances are its TM compatible so a decent midcap mag from say G&G will fit nicely.

no probs mate, its a common mistake.

Its likley down to the fact that it was the first AEG manny moons ago, back then FA-MAS's where not stanag compatible, that said i did find a post on another forum, where you could mod a stanag to fitt, it wasn't pretty mind.

Word of warning: They're ugly as hell.

And most of them don't work properly.

Just get G36 mags.

Oh dear, won't be getting one of those then....G36 mags it is. Found some on Amazon for £11 with free delivery so not too bad.

Ummmmm

As a g36c owner, I use the m4 mag adapter with m4 mags & so far I've had no issues

I use king arms mags in all my rifles just because when I use the G36, I don't have to have separate mags
