Hi, I'm from the Hillingdon Area and my friend is introducing me to airsoft. We are going to be playing at The Mall in Reading.

Since I really like a good pistol and also since I'm going to be playing in a close-quarters indoor environment I've currently gone for a Resident Evil style 'Samurai Edge' Beretta and a Hi-Capa 5.2 complete with barrel-mounted meat tenderizer.

I don't know that much about airsoft or guns in general so I thought this would be a good place to find advice and find out about good places to go. Aside from The Mall, does anybody know anywhere good in my area? I am considering going to Bunker 51 which I think is in Greenwich, if I recall correctly.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Hi! Welcome to the forums :)

As for the mall, I too plan to make a visit soon.

If you have any enquires about the site, shoot Lozart a PM, As I believe he is a regular there.

Lastly, Have you brought the pistols or are you considering getting them? Either way pics would be cool, Sounds interesting :D

You'll find that even with CQB you're better off with a carbine or SMG than a pistol. Best do rentals at the sites you go for and see how it goes.

As for other sites, there's Red1 at Hunton Bridge near Watford (I as there today), xSite Outpost near Dunstatable/Tring, xSite Lands End near High Wycombe (not been to that one myself yet).

Thanks for replying. I have the pistols, I took a few photos just for you, complete with a close up of the 'tenderizer'. I have decided to link to them rather than embed directly because I'm not sure exactly how embedding works on this forum and I don't want to accidentally create a post with 4 massive pictures that takes up the whole screen. Anyway, the links are below.

Maybe we'll run into each other at The Mall.

dapprman, one of the things people keep telling me is to go with fun and aesthetics rather than efficiency or realism, which is partially why I'm happy to just go in guns akimbo for now. Having said that, I'm sure I'll get an SMG or a rifle of some sort a few paychecks down the line. Any recommendations?

Was at the Mall today, and attend Bunker regularly, also from London so no doubt will get shot by you soon ;)
