Right my Tokyo Marui mp5 has just been upgraded to 340 fps with new spring piston gearbox etc.

However since the upgrade my 8.4v 3600 mah NI-MIH battery does not have enough oomph to fire the gun.

But if I remove the extended cable from the gearbox (in the solid stock) which has the 15 amp inline fuse, and plug the battery direct into the gearbox it works fine.

Although I did just burn out the motor doing this (motor was ancient) and a marui eg1000 for the record.

Please help, ive got a new eg1000 motor and need to get this resolved and working before friday!

Can I lower the ampage of the fuse to allow more current through! I'm at a loss!!!

That is why, you don't mess with marui's internals. They are designed to last as it is; you mess with it, it goes KABBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Anyway, you don't need a fuse, take it out, and buy a better motor if it burns out like an SHS high torque.

I can definitely see why not to mess with marui, been a freaking nightmare.

What can you recommend for a motor ? SHS or the eg1000 marui,

Thanks for the input, much appreciated!

You sure it's not just the fuse has gone? If it's not turning the motor at all with the fuse in the loop, then that seems like the most likely explanation. Or one of the connectors is just knackered.

Fuse definitely not gone, it half cycles then stops, have to remove the stock, plug in battery direct and it then has enough to fire a round.
