On the subject of helmets, I've just ordered this http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/121368405158?cmd=VIDESC

For my Emerson multicam FAST PJ helmet!

Whoop whoop!

True, maybe on a night game or CQB with lower light, once the shooting stops!! Lol but, just like a suppressor, it looks very cool!! Lol

I wear a hard hat all day, so maybe I'm just used to having something on my head. I think the one with out the wheel is fine.

True, I have a light on my gun with a pressure pad so I just use that.

that NVG mount is a Norotos AKA2, I think there's an airsoft replica of it made by FMA. As for the helmet, standard Mich 2001 with some sticky back velcro and goggle retention straps added. The marine in that picture has also added an ops-core x-nape too, but that'll just have been for stability when using NVG, if you're not going down that route the standard straps are fine.

You'll have to let me know what that camera is like, I've been looking into getting a go pro but they cost like a million pound. And I'd only ever use it to record skirmishes.

A note on that helmet barry, do NOT use the visor in it as eye protection, they're not rated for any kind of impact at all and BBs at 300fps fly straight through!

I could be mistaken but if thats the helmet without the twisty-worm system, you could have been a little ripped off. Same helmet, postage included for £25 http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?products_id=7781

kinda want to get an airsoft helmet, mostly so I can mount my pov cam, but also because I am tall, clumsy and hitting your head on concrete can suck. Thinking of respraying an old inlines helmet that I got laying around, haha!

They DO look rather like some of the newer tactical helmets!

(neither of the pics are of my actual item, cant take pictures of them atm!)

Awesome! we used to have an old fashioned crew guard in the Recce in Germany, painted pink, with appropriate markings on for the biggest D*ck of the Day on Gunnery camp!

Oh how we laughed! Unless you were wearing it!

I think Steel helmets for everyone in airsoft could only improve the game!! Just imagine the satisfying ping as you double tap someone in the head?!

No need to call that one mate!!

This thread interests me.

I want a helmet because I usually just wear a baseball cap (backwards mostly to protect my neck) but keep getting hit in the D shaped hole where the adjuster is (I swear people aim for it!). Thing is I have a MASSIVE head and I sweat like a paedophile in Mothercare so....what's the airiest helmet that's still worth wearing?

Having worn Mk 4s (yes, I'm that old!), Mk6s and crew guards, the Emmerson one I bought is as comfy as a cycle helmet, has air holes to allow some circulation and brings you closer to your diety, because every time a BB pings off your head you'll be thanking him like a MoFo!!

I got the FAST PJ advanced on Evike for $56, I'm a size 60cm and it is snug on me, snug but comfortable.

I guess too amny holes/too much circulation and you'll just get shot in the head all the time?!

I usually just wear eye & lower face protection.. sometimes a piece of material, partly for camo and partly because I once got shot straight in the ear hole at a very short distance with a gun I suspect was hot... not something I would recommend.

cavninja: yea... you can wear a steel helmet, glhf XD j/k :)

I feel your pain, I do the exact same thing and come out with red marks from the D shaped hole.

Problem is, I have a massive head, I would rather try on a helmet that would fit snug, if not I just want one that somebody can recommend who has a big head too.

the one I have is metalic blue :P

I'd go to the doctors and get that checked mate!

Also, where are the skate helmets you linked from? They look very much like the old pro-tec delta bump helmets!
