Hi all name is Baz,

Been lurking around a few of the sites and found this one seems to be the best one for information. Im 25 currently resides in Reading, booking a Saturday at The Mall for end of the month, will carry on at this site until i get my UKARA and able to purchase a decent weapon. Im going for a MTP load out but tan rig and pouches. Currently waiting fir my cousin to send me standard issue MTP smock , combats and boots so im lucky i don't have to pay for them can spend some dough on a decent rig. I have been looking at going cheap for under a oner. So been looking at some bits from flecktarn.co.uk.

Tan Bulle MOLLE Recon Chest Harness

This will be the base for what i want, adding 2x triple MP5 pouches, admin pouch(for velcro British patch tan),utility pouch and a dump bag off my belt for spent magazines.

Once i have my UKARA i will invest in a MP5 with folding stock and for grip.

Looking at this to start me on my way- http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_489&products_id=6982

Any advice on scopes was thinking reflex? How easy to fit with what rails?

Thanks for reading looking forward to some feedback

Baz

A very quick run down of scopes:

- Anything with zoom - unnecessary in Airsoft since ranges are <100m and mostly less than 60m. Obviously not appropriate for an MP5.

- Aimpoint style - Easy to make robust against BB hits with a killflash, but are tubes and tend to restrict vision more than other close up sights.

- Reflex - hard to near impossible to protect against BB strikes. They are by far the most open and easy to acquire target scope but they don't last very long. A BB shield will help a little but they really lack robustness and they get shot out pretty quickly.

- Holo scopes - They aren't really eotech holo's, they are just basically red dot but in a short package with a rectangular window. You can get covers for taking BB strikes and they are usually pretty robust against BB strikes.

My advice is either holo or aimpoint and probably holo for an mp5 in preference to the aimpoint.

Welcome to the forum.

The MP5 needs a claw mount to provide a top rail for a sight.

Its a 9mm x 19mm parabellum SMG so is usually used at short range. If you want an authentic sight, they usually have a red dot.

Depends if youre going RS authentic or airsoft effective - lol

Authentic sounds good but effectiveness also counts so what would you recommend brother?

I would recommend the collapsible stock rather than folding.

As you can see, when the stock isn't extended you can still have it up to your shoulder for a very tight steady aim.

Have you tried holding an MP5? I personally find the stock wide forearm front grip about as comfortable as is possible. Some people don't get on well with it, I would suggest you try it before opting for more expensive rails and foregrip. The reasoning is simple, if you hold a vertical grip your elbow sticks out. Your elbow needs to not stick out in CQB as people will then shoot it.

I have actually been thinking of getting rid of a tan tactical vest I never use:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F51MZXO/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has 2 of these MP5 pouches on it (in tan not flecktarn) http://www.taiwangun.com/en/magazine-pouch-mp5-flecktarn-a-c-m?from=listing&campaign-id=20

Thats space for 8 Mags. It also has a single point sling attached.

If you're interested send me a PM and we can discuss a price, then I will have an excuse to have a trip to the Mall :D

The mount you will need is this type http://www.amazon.co.uk/TopOutdoor-Tactical-GSG-5-Aluminum-Picatinny/dp/B00DXXTOGW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399296236&sr=8-1&keywords=mp5+rail

You can also buy sights with the claw mounts installed for g3 models or mp5s if you want to save yourself a bit of cash.
