What do you carry?

I see quiet a lot of people with loads of pouch attached to their vest. I'm just wondering what do you carry with you into a skirmish?

Here my list:

Mags

4x speed loaders

Roughly 3000 spare BBs

BFG

Primers for BFG

Tape

Gas for pistol

This all fits into 2 pouches, BFG pouch and a mag pouch.

I only ever play CQB. Do you need to carry more with woodland because the safety zone is usually further away?

I'm a bit of a fair weather person, might play outside when the weather is better :P

With my L85 and Brit kit, I'll have 14x 30 round Emags, 4 pistol mags, a BFG, some blanks and the resetting tool for the BFG as well as 3 litres of water and a radio, PTT and headset. That's enough ammo to last me between 1 and 5 hours depending on the game type, ranges, number of people per team etc etc. I've not done any serious milsim games or anything yet, but I suspect if I did and I needed to carry anything else in addition to all that, which weight-wise sounds a lot less than it is, I'd probably end up killing myself, because the rig is a good 6kg with nothing in it. I gain about 4 stone with all the Brit kit on... I don't even run it with plates. Fuck knows how our guys overseas manage to walk around in 40° heat all day every day with it all on, my hat's off to them, they ought to be called Terminators or something, 'cos it must take bionic limbs to be able to keep that up for 6 months at a time...

Anyway though, I figure if I ever need tools, then attempting to fix anything in the field is inevitably going to end in something important getting lost, so I leave tools behind on purpose. I don't take batteries out either, because they take too long to change.

But frankly, I'm far too unfit for carrying all that around to be an enjoyable experience, especially considering the L85 is slowing dying on me, trigger response is so bad compared to the AK that it makes me cringe, and it's got high speed gears, high torque motor and only an M100 fitted, so god knows why it's so bad... So I've shelved that set up for the time being. I'll probably break it out once I'm slightly less cholesterol induced, or the AK breaks lol.

With the AK I only run my belt rig, which carries all the same things in all the same pouches minus the radio which I go without, the only thing that changes is that I put all my AK mags (5 mids) in the utility pouch that I use for "back up" L85 mags.

When using the L85 I'll have 6 mags on my rig in a fast grab location, another 6 on my belt rig in the utility pouch, one in the gun and one in a medic pouch, because there's nothing else in there, and there's no space for it anywhere else lol.

So the AK mags just go in the same utility pouch. It's a bit annoying, because they take forever to get out of the pouch because they're all just stacked in there and they're not held separate, nor can the pouch be left open or they'd all fly out. So it takes ages to reload the AK, but it's balanced out by having my sidearm, and the mid caps being loaded to their full capacity, whereas I'm more used to reloading after 30 shots, which is approx 2 seconds of full auto.

Definitely more in favour of high speed low drag set ups at the moment. Seriously considering getting a gas L85 to solve the trigger response issue as well... But money.

I hate money =[

In my Pat58 pouch,my main ammo pouch.

-Two VSR 10 mags,1 In gun.

-1 Speedloader for the VSR,filled with .28s. These are allowed for snipers mainly, they count as 'stripper clips'. 90 rounders only though.

-Two M9 Mags,1 In gun-

-Again,another speed loader filled with .2s.

-Camera,If I'm feeling like doing a bit of photography while in combat. Did come in handy during last weeks OP when I snapped a piccie of a hidden SAM prop.

In the back pocket of my KLMK suit:

-Dead rag

On the rest of the ALICE rig:

-Radio on the harness

-Holster and canteen mounted on the side.

Reinforced all pouches with a mix of bent steel wire and karabiners, more or less rattle free, very lightweight and handy for stealth, the super heavy M9 mags(What the f*ck did KJ make those out of,lead? wholly crap, even Hicapa mags, considered 'heavy' weigh less!) weigh down the ammo pouch just right to prevent excessive wobble.

The Soviet canteen pouch and the ALICE LC2 belt seem like a match made in heaven as it doesn't wobble about nearly as much as for other people with Russian loadouts. Wanting to make some padding in the shape of body armor so I can wear my belt tighter, but that one of those 'eh' projects that I can do but never get around to.

Other supplies:

Kept in My rucksack which I hardly carry, usually fire it in the back of the vehicle our squad is using or at recon posts.

I AM THE EPITOME OF HIGH SPEED LOW DRAG

Dope and Beer

6 MP5 midcaps, speedloader and spare battery. I play indoors and as I am forced to stay on Semi, I have never used more than 3 midcaps in between breaks.

9 mid cap mags,

2 pistol mags,

4 200rd speedloaders,

2 spare batteries

cleaning rod,

small tool set (screw drivers and alan keys),

medical kit,

2 karabiners, one for the helmet, on the right hip

and the other on the left kidney to keep my rifle secure if slung

and something I'd recommend for everyone

straps, lots of them, useful for securing objectives on your person while keeping both hands free for my rifle, as well as securing prisoners.

for night games add

weapon and held torch

4 lightsticks in case of an emergency.

I tend to be the guy who prefers to be prepared, I'm pretty strong so the weight of airsoft equipment isn't an issue

3 - 4 spare M4 mags

1 spare MP5 hi cap

Speed loader, almost certainly filled with ammo for pistol

Allen key for pistol mag

Possibly a spare CO2 capsule

Phone

Money

Possibly a bottle of water on hot days in my dump pouch

If not using the MP5, then a spare battery will go in the pouch instead OR in very rare situation, another speed loader

My holster also sits on my vest as of about 4pm this afternoon aha

Might get a karabiner or two, as well as a torch and pouch to go with

I really try to be 'high speed - low drag', often this is abandoned since going back to the safe zone mid - game is a right pain in the arse!

Couple of stone of excess gut.

It depends on which AEG, or whether I'm sniping, and for how long I'll be out of the safe zone.

I usually carry:

3-10 rifle mags

2-4 speedloaders with various weights of BB (neither of my pistols have spare mags, so I use these)

2 x bangs

1 x smoke

1/2 the Sleeve of a box of Cooks' Matches (to light recalcitrant pyros)

Pocket Knife

LX Tape

paracord &/or cable ties

meds

2 x lighters (1 is also a carabiner)

tobacco pouch (which itself is a cornucopia of 'be prepared' kit inc. SS Survival Mirror lol)

phone & back up battery pack

radio, headset & PTT

2L water in hydro bladder pouch on back

handful of boiled sweets (usually mint humbugs)

Tissues

Lens Cleaner

Things I sometimes carry:

Loose 0.25g BB's in Patent Cock'n'balls Bag

Loose 0.3g BB's in grenade shaped bottle

Multitool

more Pyros

Light stick/s

Torch/es with/out spare batteries 18650 &/or AAA (which go in my radio too)

MRE & FRH

Patent PLCE Brew Kit inc Hexi Stove in DPM pouch & Aluminium Crusader Mug

Chocolate

Camouflaged Plastic Periscope

Waterproof Notepad & Pen, Pencil, Marker in DPM pouch

Plasters

Additional Gloves
