I am quite friendly with my local shop owner and our local site marhsalls are all friendly with them too.

Is site membership a proof of skirmishing? would some form of log on when we have skirmished count? (local site logs everyone in in the morning, to prove who is there and has paid)

The shop owner knows we are skirmishers, but as of yet are not 18. Would getting site membership count as the defence, so we can purchase on our birthdays?

Site membership counts, logging when you go yourself and keeping a diary of what happened would also be a good defence, especially if you have a friends doing it too as your reports will tally up if questioned. When you turn 18, you should be able to purchase, however he can refuse any sale he likes if he isn't happy.
