Just bought a Nissan Juke. Love it, but need to sell it or swap for a qashqai for the extra space.

Surprisingly unroomy.

They look great, but it's all show and no stow.

To be fair there is a deep boot, but it’s thin front to back, and not enough space to put the dogs in. Otherwise I love it, it drives beautiful.

Cant sit in the back if you’re a grown adult for safety though, not sure how it pass safety testing - the roof slants down low so that anyone over 5’11” will get their neck broken if the car is rear ended, as there’s up to a foot of empty distance between your head and the headrest.

It has split seats so I was planning to remove the single seat in the back for extra space, but it’s actually 60/40 split seatBACKs, with a single bench-like seat all across.

I’m one of those people who genuinely couldn’t give a fornication a car’s speed/performance/color/look/etc all I want is five doors cheap to run and ain’t gona break the bank to run .

SO I recently bought a bog standard Dacia sandero (not even a stepaway) cost peanuts on the road and it has a mahoosive boot space due to its ‘boxy’ arse end .👍

Yup and proud of it , just the other face of the coin to the people who spend huge amounts on cars that can do a gazillion miles per hr , respond quicker than a blink of the eye but never have and never will spend any track time with it so there drive around on the same roads and at close to the same speeds as me in my bog standard kit box on wheels ! 😳

😂😂

Off topic, but I'm playing my Friday night joker.

Many years ago,  when I was too young and dumb to know what couldn't be done, I cobbled together a T&J Locust Lotus 7 replica kit car.

it consisted of a poorly welded ladderframe angle-iron chassis, an aluminium skinned plywood (yes, wood) body tub, and various random Mk II Escort, Cortina and Triumph Sprint and Dolomite parts.   I shudder to recall the bodges that I did to get it running, but my God you knew you were driving it.

Something like this, although mine never looked that complete.

I ended up literally giving it away between breakdowns because my conscience couldn't stomach taking money from someone in return for that absolute death trap (the seatbelts were bolted into the wooden body tub...).  I fully expected it to be in a ditch / in pieces / on fire, or some combination of the three within months.

Tonight, out of sheer random curiosity, I just bashed the registration into https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk and love a duck...

An actual thing that I made with my own two hands a quarter of a century ago is still on the road, MOT'd, taxed and insured, and according to the MOT record is racking up a couple of hundred miles a year, every year.

Just... wow.  I am in equal[*] parts horrified and delighted.

[*] 90% delighted.

'12 Jaguar XF-S here. I walk to work now so it's just a weekend car and does very little mileage. Not something I would drive if I did a lot of mileage.

Sold my last motorbike soon after our youngest was born and my wife almost misses it more than I do which means there will be another bike in the not too distant future.

Used to own a few vintage Triumphs and other decaying money-pits-on-wheels (loved 'em though).

Then had kids and bought a more sensible KIA Ceed which never seems to require any work doing to it. Phenomenally reliable car. Although I have undoubtedly just jinxed it and will probably arrive home to find it in flames on the driveway.

For my daily commute I cycle... 20 mile round trip each day, all weathers... which helps to keep the pies and pints off my waistline. A bit.

I've changed vehicles since I last posted.
I'm now daily driving an E46 saloon and have an L200 crew cab for towing and will be used for going to airsoft sites.

I did take some photos of some friends cars over the weekend thought I would share.

She needs some fixing and prettying up but I've grown fond of it over the past year. It's also my first car.

Currently driving a 2006 Saab 9-5 diesel estate - absolutely cavernous inside and excellent for transporting all my gear (yes, I take too much!), had it a few years now and it's been a great car.  Drove from North Wales down to Dorset in one hit and got out without any aches and pains - highly recommended just for the seat comfort!  Only problem is what to replace it with when the time comes, considered a Mitsubishi Shogun but can't really live with 25mpg, looks like it's going to have to be a Mercedes E class estate, preferably the E330 (440 lbs/ft of torque anyone?) and still mid 30s mpg, plus the huge carrying capacity.

Then, between the wife and I: 2001 Honda Fireblade, 1994 CBR600FM, 2000 CBR600FY, planning on adding a CBF1000 with full luggage to the collection next year.  Yes, we like our Hondas, the wife is regalia and social media secretary for the Honda Owners Club and I'm the webmaster!

I'm 25, and I drive a 20 year old automatic volvo estate, it's big, comfy, smooth and it feels safe.

It fits 4 people and a shit tonne of gear in while still having plenty of room to cruise to airsoft sites.

I counteract this with a suzuki Tl1000r, which is the motoring equivalent of trying to ride a hungry shark.

Though it's having a major service atm and will be back on the road next year wearing Barry sheene colours.

Got bored of my old dad car VW Passat. Whilst it was a perfectly good functional unit of car, it was terribly, terribly dull. So I treated myself to this :3 Jag XE R-Sports. Absolutely love it. It is however completely impractical for airsofting as the boot is big enough for about  2 bags of shopping and there is no way Id want to take it up the absolutely dire off road paths most airsoft sites have.

Just means Ill have to buy that Ford Ranger Ive always wanted as well to go airsofting in ;)

That's a big car (sorry, couldn't help myself 😛)
