Trying to persuade a friend not to buy a support gun- HELP!!

One of my mates recently bought his 1st proper airsoft gun- an SRC M4. He hasn't been to a single skirmish yet, having spent 2 years of plinking with me, however he has his heart set on an A&K MK46. I've tried to explain to him that it isn't the best choice for someone used to plastic replicas (his M4 is lighter then my MP5 ffs) and that it'd only be financially viable if he was in a team and if he was prepared to play a completely different playstyle immediately.

He didn't even listen.

He's already got £230 saved up, please help me change his mind before he blows £350 on something he won't be able to use properly

Let him buy it, then after 6 weeks when he's bored of it, buy it off him at half price
