  2. Dead Simple’s……… Ive got a family member coming back from the USA who has been over for a while They have offered to bring back something Airsoft for me with them I don’t really look at the US stores as shipping is mental I don’t really know what I would fancy, but I know it can’t be anything RIF shaped or look like any RIF parts, nor batteries etc Im probably looking more at cool kit that you can’t find easily over here Gear, or clothing probably, optics, just cool shit But I’m at a low ebb and can’t think Im not even inspired by the Bunker Branding merch Inspire me to take advantage of my international mule (no prison wallet stuff either please 😆)
  3. Being from the USA, what would I bring over? Street tacos from Texas is probably No. 1 on the list. But as for airsofty things… you can actually bring a RIF. It just needs to be in checked baggage and inside a case (I believe PIN locked for Airsoft). Heck, it’s legal to bring your real steel pistols and rifles around in checked baggage. I have a TSA approved case for my Sig 365. on the other hand, depending on where they live, I’ll second the motion to find a surplus store. You can get just about anything if you’re in the right spot.
  4. Personally I don’t see the point in using anything heavier than .28s in a pistol. But yes, a Maple leaf hop and rubber with an I-key will boost hop performance greatly.
  5. I use a lot of guarder stuff when building pistols and don’t have any major problems. I have no experience on the particular slide you mentioned but don’t see why there would be problems based on it being a guarder one. Don’t think there’s any need for you to worry. I say go.. Also never had any problems using steel outer barrels with alu slides. If anything I like the extra weight added towards the front of the pistol since gbbs mostly are unbalanced with all the weight towards the back in the mag.
  6. Stating the obvious as you already know this, but just reinforcing your statement ….. There’s no such thing as pedantic on a form once it arrives in court. It’s either stated on the form or it isn’t Side remark …. The first time we ran an Airsoft game as players were being herded back to the safe zone I was sat on a table at the entrance/exit waiting to head out and reset / lay out props for the next objective. The Airsoft marshals were calling out the instructions to make safe before entering the safe zone etc So players were doing the right thing, magazine out, fire off anything left in the chamber etc But then seeing me sat there as the first handful pass me holding up for inspection etc I particularly liked those who after discharging and clearing in front of an Airsoft marshall then paused to queue up to one by one give the paintball events organiser a clear confirmation that they have a safe RIF
  7. A bit late. Attended the Armageddon night game after BZFest on Saturday 1st. Sadly I only stayed half the event as the only gun I brought decided to throw it's toys out of the pram and do just about everything wrong after 2 games: no feeding, double feeding, firing 6ft, firing normally rinse and repeat. When stripping it down the check the hop out, I lost the screw to my receiver pin. The person I went with borrowed me theirs from their main rifle which had also developed issues and wasn't useable but it was no use, the gun decided it didn't want to play anymore and despite my best efforts, would not work. What's worse, I normally bring a spare gun, tools and parts but I hadn't brought anything! The event itself was good and pizza was even provided by the site owners! Turn out was good with about 30-ish people and for the two games I did get to play, the level of play was very good. Lots of pyro and smokes were used. Photographer was even on site and his pictures are quality. A particularly memorable moment for me was sitting in a bush with an angle on our flag, hoping to catch an enemy out as they went to raise it. After a while I went to change position as I was slowly being out-flanked, the second I raised my head I got twatted right in the helmet by a single BB. There was a sniper on the enemy team who was particularly good and it wasn't the first time he got me and I had no idea where from.

I am looking into getting SA58/JG 3000 and I cannot find one either used or new anywhere in UK in stock. I asked on forums, Discord groups, etc. So this is why I am asking about gunfire as they have it in stock and have replied to my email saying they ship to UK but I just wonder how much will Custom's charge me for importing it.

    3. rj1986

Generally add in 20% and that will cover you. (plus the parcel force bumming fee)

    4. ak2m4

      ak2m4

@matas17 generally you pay VAT 20% plus import duty which is 3-5% depending on what customs classify the item as, some say toy, some sporting goods.  You pay tax and duty on the shipping fee as well.  Then you also pay a courier handling charge which is anything from £8 to £15.

  9. He did my m14, and sadly he messed it up. He wasn't able to engrave curved shapes. He was sweet as anything and very apologetic, and I have nothing negative to say other than that he did mess up. Just something to keep in mind.

Wrenches for the Tokyo Marui next generation recoil shock H&K HK417. These will allow you to loosen the castle nut and remove the buffer tube. I designed and made these myself from mild steel. Being steel they will loosen even the tightest castle nuts without deforming. I used to sell these on eBay, but with their idiotic approach to anything that has words relating to firearms, they keep getting removed and hence I don’t feel they deserve the money anymore! I have atleast 15 of these in stock for now. Price includes 1st class Royal Mail postage (within mainland UK) and PayPal fees. Happy to offer a discount if you are ok to pay by bank transfer.

  17. Another weekend, another skirmish at Worthing Airsoft. I was intending to use the m40a5 today, either with my HK45 as a sidearm, or my mac11 + mk23 combo, but as I was experimenting on the range with my chrono, the power was dropping with every shot. Issue with running a gas bolt action in the cold is that the cooldown effect of each shot just compounds and makes it worse, so the mags were progressively getting colder and the ambient temperature was making it worse. So that was out, but I at least had my HPA VSR as a backup so I set that up at 2.25J and took it out with the HK45 as a sidearm, as if I'm running a line I don't like using the mac11 because the shoulder rig I run it on constantly catches the HPA line and it's a pain to deal with (especially when you're trying to move as little as possible so people don't see you) Anyway, I went out for the first game which was a large, multi-objective game that would last until lunch. Brilliant, I love these games! I took a spot in a holly bush to overwatch a path, though at this time of year there aren't many leaves on them! It was a good spot to hold though as I single-handedly held the path against a lot of players that just couldn't locate where the shots were coming from. Some BBs were sprayed in my general direction, but with me low to the ground and surrounded by foliage nothing was coming close to me. I eventually got taken out when some regulars led a massive group of enemy players down the path. I managed to take out the two regulars, but was taken out by one of the other players as there was a wave of about 12, so one of them was bound to spot me after I opened up with the GBB pistol! I respawned, grabbed two teammates and went to cut them off again, but there were only about 3 of us and we weren't able to stop them from getting into a base and digging in. I then tried to go around them, got a bit lost and went out of bounds where I bumped into another sniper on the other team. I said we were out of bounds so we walked back in game and had a gentleman's agreement to not shoot each other, but he ran off and told his team I was there so I got taken out pretty fast. Respawned again and headed the other way this time, as their team were firmly entrenched on the other flank, so I thought I could punch through a gap by going the other way. I hugged the boundary and came up to their respawn where I went to ground. I didn't shoot, because spawn camping is bad, but I wanted to wait until nobody was in their spawn so I could cross over, get to the fence line, move along to another base and shoot them in the back, as they wouldn't be expecting shots to come in from behind. One player respawned and almost walked on top of me, but thankfully due to the power of my KMCS ghillie suit just kidding, I run a cape ghillie that I built off a webtex concealment vest, but it worked well enough for the enemy player to pass me by. I let him get clear of me, before I scurried across their now empty respawn and got to my fence line. My blue armband was on my right arm, but they could only see me from the left, so I made it look like I was a yellow player and hoped I didn't bump into anyone who would recognise me and realise I was on the other team. I think I only passed one player this way, who didn't recognise me and I got into my sniper spot. Problem was, I was fogged up and the sun was in my direction, so I couldn't see anything through my scope. I got a few players as I tried to get my heart rate down and stop sweating quite so much, then as I heard the 10 seconds left call, I took out one last guy who was chatting with his friends and then the game over was called. It was funny, because while I was in that position, a yellow player spotted me as he was heading back to the safe zone to get his lunch and gave me a nod and mouthed "well played". It was very amusing, but it was also frustrating because our team just wasn't really doing anything. Every time I made a play, there might've been 2 or 3 other people around. Apparently most of our team were sitting in a pair of bases that the enemy team just... avoided because they didn't have objectives there. It also didn't help that the spawns weren't far enough apart / far enough from bases, so there was some spawn camping happening on both sides. I then decided to set my VSR back to 1.1J. The reasons are twofold; first, it's a lot quieter on 75psi than it is on 130psi. I think it's louder than my gas m40a5 when firing at 2.3J. Secondly, I found that Worthing Airsoft is a bit too... twiggy. The foliage is almost non-existent at this time of year, so there's very little to hide in, but there's a lot of twigs everywhere. The flora at Worthing Airsoft is lots of coppices, so while there aren't many leaves on them, there's lots of twiggy bits everywhere and threading long range shots is a bit weird. I'll still run the m40a5 at 2.3J, but with the VSR, the difference in sound signature just makes 1.1J the better call. I'll keep it as a backup gun. Didn't play the afternoon games as the guy who drives us up there has an issue with his ankle and can't really play, so me and the other guy decided to call it early as it doesn't feel fair to drag it on. Also, I couldn't put my finger on it, but the atmosphere today was off and all in all it felt a bit weird. I don't think there was too much enthusiasm to play on either side today, I think the spawn camping made people annoyed and a good chunk left at lunch, and... I don't know, it's hard to put into words, but there was this uneasy feeling looming over the game day today. Might be heading to Driver Wood next weekend, so it'll be good to get out to another site. Will probably use the opportunity to run a DMR as I like their DMR rules and my HPA m21 really prefers running at DMR power than anything else.

Ideally looking for a steyr scout rifle with the h nub upgrade and a decent scope. Not tried bolt actions yet (not new to airsoft though 3 years in) normally play with gbbr/gbb smg these days but fancied a bolt action for a while now and looking into it everyone says the scout is probably the best option but not ruling out anything like a upgraded srs v2 with a upgraded hop etc. worst I can say is no thanks.

Funny you should say that I've recently fallen out of love with my TM recoils as well (bar my 74su) and had a hard-on for old school AK’s . In the past 8/9mths ? I’ve bought 4 and fitted as much real wood and genuine AK parts to all of them as I can find .

@Druid799How is it out of a box, I wonder what the internals are and if for example pistol is plastic and doesn't have steel teeth, etc. Also how is trigger response, fire rate and the range on it?

  23. My personal view is that it doesn’t matter what clowns/party are in charge. They would all ban anything in order to get votes so political affiliation doesn’t matter. All these people want is to line their pockets at the expense of us. Apologies but I’m so disenfranchised with politics in this country. I can’t see it being better under labour or greens or anyone else for that matter.
