Have you actually tried there m4s? They are very good these days. At you budget you might be able to pick up an e&c and given the best specnas were oemd by them that tells you something of their quality compared to specna.

Try a few different weights and see what works best with the gun pal. .28 shouldn't be a problem for any modern non budget aeg though, except for TM who can hop a .28 but just sling .25s like nobodys business.
