    WW2 Pistol

The Brownings aren't great but as long as you follow the rule of cocking the hammer or racking the slide before inserting a magazine they are OK. The hop adjustment is a bit more of a pain than other pistols because you have to remove the inner barrel but if you use the same weight BBs then you...

    Fuse

11.1v does put a lot more stress on the mechanical parts and is not recommended unless stated by the manufacturer (or on the sale page) They can be used at your own risk as breakage of parts is more likely due to extra stress and wear.  Also any damage will likely be worse due to higher energy...

    Fuse

They're just tight (which is good) Just pull em while wiggling. The more worrying thing is figuring out why it blew. Replace with the same value fuse and if it keeps happening it will need more investigation. (Its not running on an 11.1v LiPo I hope)

    Boxes

Keep the boxes if you can. It can be a real pain finding a box for a RIF if you do need to send one by post. Even if you don't intend to sell now you never know.  You might need to send one for repair.

    At what cost?

Most guys have an expensive hobby of some sort.  Airsoft isn't the most expensive one out there. I'm with Poncho in that I prefer a variety of cheaper/bargain toys rather than spending a lot on one or two great performers. I am now more of a collector than a player and I regard my toys as an...

New member looking for gun recommendations

Sounds like you have a mature attitude so good start ? Stick to AEG for the beginning. I would say £250-£300 will get you a very decent performing & reliable BB slinger. Have a search in the forum for recommended first weapon and best manufacturers.  (Obviously there will be a lot of M4/AK...
