Right I'll have a word with mister Jeffetron and see what he says, I use the  V2 micro switch version on another gun that according to the site is rated to 25bps and that works fine with a 12:1 gear set.

I same issue with the ShS high torque motor and a jefftron V2 trigger replacement mosfet. Lots of carbon from the AB though the AB is adjustable on the Jefftron. The motor brushes wear out super quick with AB and I'm thinking about turning it off completely.

Cant help you on the polarstar, but with regards to the barrett have you tried rotating the inner barrel slightly? 

I bought the same gun on Saturday after my trusty MP5 blew the front of it's gearbox off. I think mine maybe the newer version (ICS-238 CXP 16 L). I'm currently firing at 280fps with .25's the shop I bought it from said they're about  309fps stock as the spring may actually be an m90? I'll try...
