You're not wrong, they are shit. And so were the gen 1 SWAT VTG's, however they came out with an upgraded one a while back. May be worth your while ordering a couple from SWAT?

Leaving BB's in any spring magazine (AEG mid caps and of course pistol mags) for a day or two will have very little impact. However if you leave them full and the spring compressed for say weeks, they will likely compress permanently and lose strength to push out some of the last bb's. If...

If you ask nicely they can usually send up parts if you have an order number or serial number? Also it could be damp or crap ammo. Any moisture has to be dried out totally.

Hop up wheel is fairly straight forward, the arrow to the front is off, the arrow to the back is full. Hicapas all that I've seen work best at around 55% It's quite easy to test.. set the hop, shoot at a long range target and watch the bb, if it's too much, try the other way and vise versa.

Before replacing the hop unit I had taken the gun apart from fully built and functionally to every screw out, maybe 11 times for various mods. Then I took out the hop unit, replaced it with another (same barrel, no change to the gearbox this time), slapped it back together and bam, problem...

No problem, it saved me having to make larger mags stuffed into the gun that took so much force to pull out. (The only way they would feed). For whatever reason (maybe the hop unit is longer or the oring holds it up) replacing the hop fixed all issues.

Military buddies, they say the way you stand lines them back up or something. I don't know the full specifics, just what they were taught. Also I don't mean half way down your back, I'm talking like 2-4" lower, not much.

Mind that the back is to sit lower than the front, it shouldn't be in line.
