    Gun picture thread

Oh shush, it was awesome and you know it. :P Bonus points for making that guy (claiming to be ex-army) cry. Good to know about the TM MP7. Ever compared it to any of the other GBB MP7s on the market?

    Gun picture thread

How is the TM MP7? I've never seen one in person, no one seems to have them round at either of the sites I attend. Back in London, and my SUSAT has arrived. Now mounted on the pride of the fleet -

What gun or bit of Kit do you wish existed?

A full sized Uzi. GBB or AEG, I don't really care, I just think the airsoft world needs one - although I'd prefer a full metal GBB. (Yes, I'm aware of the TM AEG one, but it's almost as rare as unicorn crap, and has some pretty bad reliability issues). Along with the M16, AK47 and the MP5, the...

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

In a word, superawesomemagicfuntimehappiness :D . As much as I love my ICS, this thing, with it's lack of electronics and gears, is far easier for me to understand. I went for bog-standard internals (apart from the NPAS, and MilSpec fixing the pistol grip), my plan is to upgrade parts only...

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Ed - I hope this makes sense, but if not, I'll go grab the camera and photo mine to explain it better. The answer is yes and no, Ed. The ICS adaptor and the Madbull rail will fit on the WE, but, it will be such an incredibly lose fit the handguard will wobble all the time. Much simpler to get...

    ICS M4 EBB anyone?

The phrase "EBB Gearbox with invincible durability" may well come back to bite them in the arse if they aren't careful... I'm interested in this. Sure, it's yet another M4/M16/AR-15 type design in an already flooded market - but if this is successful, we could hopefully see this gearbox design...

My friend has a SA80/L85 but doesn't have the money for the rail syste,

That photo shows one of the plastic A2 hand guards. Around about 2006-8, as an interim measure (while the trials and production for the railed hand guard were on-going), the MoD procured a couple of thousand hand guards which had mounting points for rails pre-drilled in them. One set of holes on...

    Gun picture thread

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGK8IC-bGnU (still no idea how to get the video to appear in the post) Just because I love making SA80 purists cry - based on one of 25 experimental rifles from 2005-6, when the MoD was updating the L85. This is my CQB rifle. Very comfortable and fun to use.

My friend has a SA80/L85 but doesn't have the money for the rail syste,

They literally just drill into the plastic of the handguard, then screw the rail into place. If he isn't happy doing that, just super-glue the rail onto the handguard. No where near as strong, but considerably easier.

    Gun picture thread

"A gun and a radio? Hardly Christmas, is it?" "What were you expecting, an exploding pen? I'm afraid we don't go in for that sort of thing any more..." I forgot to upload these after it arrived last week. It's an absolute beauty. Perfect for all indoors CQB sites.

Airsoft Quiz! You get a fiver if you win!

Nope, not by a long shot. Most people don't use them, as there's not much point. (But do check some of the older TV/movie/games related threads) AR doesn't stand for what you think it does, either...

    Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

It's currently at the cleaners, but a (very old, and now far too big) tux is one of my options, as well as a full piece suit. Choice of PPK and P99-Suppressed.

    What do you carry?

Sunday, CQB only: Option 1 - SIG P229, 4 magazines, torch. All carried in/on a covert/overt ballistic vest. Option 2 - Walther PPK, 2 magazines / P99, suppressor, 1 magazine. Carried in a shoulder holster and a 3 piece suit. Option 2 was incredibly fun :D

    Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic

As I'm usually playing at all indoors CQB sites these days, my need for a camo, webbing and armour has been somewhat reduced. This was the first loadout I came up with. Cheesy American daytime cop dramas and crime shows provided the inspiration. SIG-Sauer P229R, X4 15 round magazines. If I...

    L85/86/carbine(SA80 variants)

Not many new players go for L85s, so as Nick said, there's not really much of a market. It's usually die-hard SA80 fans, or players who've had the usual M4/G36/AK/etc, and now want something different. But, it's also the cost of designing/developing and manufacturing them. Most AEGs are pretty...

    Airsoft TV

I'd be interested to know the production values behind the show - how much comes from sponsorship by manufacturers or retailers. I think the problem with the show is that it doesn't quite know what it wants to be - is it something for die-hard airsoft veterans, or something for people who've...

    Ed, Let's play a game

Well, I'm still waiting for the suppressor/tracer unit, but this is what I'm currently using. I know Ed is simply just going to love this. The best part? It's based on a real L85 design. Which I got the chance to play around with a few weeks back for my dissertation research. How I love...

The one problem you'll have at the moment is finding improved bolts; I haven't seen any in stock (literally anywhere) since July. (But if you'd consider selling me the barrel & hop-up from your ICS, let me know... since mine is still shooting round corners...)
