To kind of repeat, and throw my 2 pence worth in, nothing is NEEDED, however I find a silencer (or tracer silencer if playing in the dark like I do) a front grip, Red dot and torch with a mount and a sling not only help me massively but look pretty cool too. For me its important my gun looks pretty damn cool as well as functions well and these upgrades do that for me. I have started out with cheap accessories, I will slowly upgrade over time, but a cheap silencer does the same job as an expensive one which is nothing, they just look the part. I spent a bit too much on my red dot but I am happy with it as it is not too big for my gun (MP5K). So just kind of go with what you feel you need. I bought mine bit by bit after skirmishes, I realised after one what would be useful for the next and got it accordingly. Oh another thing not mentioned, A MAG POUCH.... yeah, its not a gun accessory but you need one none the less. Mags in pockets are a pain in the ass and are easily lost, trust me even a cheapo belt with a pouch is 100 times easier than filling pockets with bulky mags and losing them etc...

I bought a viper 3 point sling, have no idea how to use it hahaha... its confusing my little mind. I think the fact my Mp5K only has one proper sling attachment is whats doing it, yeah that must be it

Ok, so after having a look about and based on advice here it seems a Combat raider is the way to go...... such as: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403_494&products_id=6076 However, As I would be willing to spend a bit more, is it worth going for something like this instead? http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/G-G-TR4-MOD0-TGR_016_MD0_BBB_NCM.html I mean they are both upgradable internally just as much as each other right? and is the more expensive gun worth the difference would you say? I am not quite sure what I am doing with all this just yet!.. Thanks again guysh!!

Hmm... Might buy this one myself Question regarding the springs though, which should I go for?

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Albiscuit replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Viper Multicam M4 double pouch Offset rail adaptor Torch holder for above, only to find my torch does not fit GRR And attempted to buy a RIS front end for my MP5K to be told "we cant find it sir", left my number, 2 hours later, "we have found it, do you still want it" GRRRRR So spent money, but a few GRRRs lol, will pop back to the store tomo and finish up my Mp5K FINALLY -
Apart from being a comic book nerd and star wars fan my other hobby is collecting trainers, and no its not a transferable skill to Airsoft lol... If im paying that much for trainers I am not about to mash them up skirmishing!! However I enjoy kayaking and rock climbing too, so these could be useful.....
-
Skirmishing on Sunday now it seems so will pop along to Wolf tomo to try and bag this, plus a new grip and torch

Me likey!!

as far as I am aware, and I am a relate Noob to this hobby, most guns have a 14mm thread which is fairly universal. Most silencers will fit, some barrels may have a backwards thread so will you need an adaptor which is effectively (dont snigger) a Nipple with one normal and one reverse thread bringing your rifle upto a male thread to fit the silencer...

Hey guys n gals... I have one of these..... http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?WD=mp5k&PN=b_and_t_mp5_k_classic_army%2ehtml#SID=73 And am busy trying to customising it to by suit my needs and want a rail on the front. My Brother (who gave me the gun) told me the bloke in the shop said there was no chance but I have found a few things like this..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Railed-RIS-Handguard-Set-for-MP5-Airsoft-AEG-/290995079067?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item43c0a8879b My question is do you think they are compatible or does anyone know of one that is? I basically want rails on the front or bottom to be able to add a torch and a new style of hand grip. It looks to me that these are all to long for the front of my gun, however the long piece in the kit looks like a barrel extension, which will allow me to extend the front of the gun, is this correct? I have no experience of this type of thing and would appreciate the help.

Oooh I quite liek pimp my gun... thats my evening sorted hahaha

Well I am hoping to attend loads of skirmishes next year, need to break out of the Bunker, its ok but want to expand my horizons and travel around a few sites next year so NAE may be a nice way to round off the summer of Airsofting

More worried about Carni

Brilliant.... thats exactly what I want. Cheers boys, Dan its looks awesome, I want a more woodland effect but thats pretty much what I wana do As soon as I have my gun and attachments I will grab some paint and let you all know how it goes

Another possibly silly question, I am about to purchase a new rifle, will be either tan or black, I would prefer olive green as a base but this seems a limited choice. So. What would be the best way to paint it. I would like a camo pattern rather than a solid colour and was wondering what types of paint to use and the best way to achieve a good pattern. I imagine spray paint and masking tape would be my friend in this endeavour? but wondered if anyone had any tips, of even if there were sites/places which would do it for me? This would give a much better finish I am certain and would save me messing it up. Also how far would I need to strip the gun to not jam working parts with spray... Has anyone painted their own gun in this way? how did it go and have you got any pics? Thanks.

Makes sense... thanks guys

THIS is the reply I wanted... BUT Flecktern has a nice pattern seriously though, great responses and useful points. Noob question, and I know the standard answer is to google it, but what does DPM stand for?
-
This is very true.... in fact I didnt even notice this line before, one of the main reasons I rely on the red dot is it sits higher than the iron sights on my MP5K which allows me to see, the mask I wear gets in the way of the iron sights.
-
I play indoors in very low light, I find the red dot so useful. If I know theres an enemy player sticking his head around that corner, I line up the dot where he pops out and when he moves I shoot. I know I am aiming in the correct place then, I just find it easier to concentrate fire in the correct place confident the dot is helping me. I dont find the dot is a put off at all.

Wowza, loads of responses. I kinda get whats being said about not using it properly. I just want a fairly decent pattern camo with matching kit to use in woodland areas. A Ghillie suit was mentioned but thats also on the cards depending on how many outdoor skirmishes I can get too found a great video on youtube ahowing how to make one and its pretty simple considering. Im not one to say I would use the camo properly or even think I know field craft but I was hoping to also camo my gun somehow, either get it painted to minimise the angular black lines as mentioned or use a camo wrap over the gun too.
-
I play indoors mostly and play in black with black gear, but as I want to be playing outdoors a lot more next year I need to start building an outdoor kit. Baring in mind this is outdoor in the UK so woodland, scrub mostly I presume. BUT To Multicam or not to Multicam.... I have noticed on here a vast range of camo available and a lot of acronyms am am confused. I dont know what "look" I want to go for, but something fairly modern warfare (easy to obtain) as I dont want to scour untold shops for a piece of Madagascan sniper ranger camo from 1472 to complete the look either UK or US army issue is a fairly basic and simple one id say. I am not too bothered about being accurate to a regiment or troop but want a uniformed look rather than different patterns and camo. Happy to mix and match with a standard camo pattern as this would allow me to build kit cheaply and bit by bit, again I know camo will vary for each brand etc but a generic camo pattern should not vary to such an extent from brands its initially visible.... is it? My question is, What pattern/camo would you suggest? It needs to be a green woodland type camo as I am not keen on the desert / tan type look and expect to be in the woods a lot. Cheers!!
-
Dan88, please explain your gun camo sir... Is is a wrap or is it painted? looks bloody cool and what I kinda had in mind for my outdoors kit im looking to build!!
