Is the L85a2 or M4a1 better? Sorry re-word, which is better? In real life.

Considering getting Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising for my ps3 as I want a change from cod. Anyone think its worth it????
-
Best and most stirring (like teary eyed lol) war film? (Other than black hawk down.)
-
Just played my first 'proper' Arma 3 online game! Loved every second, only got 13 kills and forgot to open my parschute more often than not but it was great! Anyone else play it?

Parents say airsoft is too realistic, errrrrr I'm struggling for a counter agument...

Just a quickie: Whats wrong with a communist government? I remember someone saying they had a friend from a communist country who had a house and good wage by 18 etc.
-
Scrolling down youtube, google etc I can always find patriotic stuff about the IRA, Scotland an America but I can't remember the last time I found something patriotic for England (I mean competitive patriotic ) Anyone have an idea why? I genuinely would like to know lol.

School on Wednesday...where did my 6 weecks go...

Need some cheap mags that fit a G&G combat machine, preferably ones that you don't have to wind up, but any will do.
-
So, I purchased Arma 3 and Nidhog but now I'm a bit stuck on what to buy. Does anyone know of any good FPS's that are set in the modern day not futuristic?
-
I really need the best reasons for airsoft! These will be for a stubborn mum who hates guns and doesn't really like things that cost a lot! Thanks

To people who have a spring l85: Where did you get it?

Your 13 right? It is still reasonable for your mother to keep you away from these things, but as we all said, wait a little longer. Springers get boring real fast because of all the manual work. Since I'm nearly 17 (2 weeks), my parents aren't giving a crap anymore and i've already spent upwards of £500 on airsoft.

I'm trying to create a word document to give to my mum about airsoft etc....hell I didn't think it was gonna be this hard but if that's .what it takes then so be it.. (Cue Indiana Jones music)

Operation flashpoint dragon rising or red river for ps3? Realism and tactics and patience are the key factors! (I'm going through my logical way of sorting out my Christmas list )
-
In your opinion what is the best springer gun? (Below £40) As well as a reason to get it. I know you all said to save my money and that is why I said no to the l85. However, I want my mum to be able to see what an airsoft gun is and does. My only reasons that I can think of right now are to do with it helping me at cadets. Thanks all.

Yeah, but that's going to make his parents think: 'well there's no harm it this airsoft malarkey is there if that's what one of those Tokyo Marui Glocks that everyone bangs on about can do, you couldn't kill a fly with that thing!' Of course he doesn't need to tell them it's a completely different TM Glock everyone raves about :-)

My mum keeps asking for what I was thinking of what I was gonna ask to see if I could have on my birthday. So I got out a fountain pen and some pristine paper and put the following words: Airsoft....airsoft.......airsoft and last but by no means least Airsoft. Let me buy airsoft. Contemplating giving it to her :-/

Sorry for off topic ness: To those who have been in the army, do you live at home while your in the army for longer than office job etc people would? And, is it selfish me wanting to join the Army as my mum and dad keep saying about how upset they'd be?

If yku are sure that the army is what you want, then go for it. If you don't then later on in life you may regret it. I know this from experience. Your parents should realise that, at some stage, you will fly the nest. BUT talk it over with em a lot before you make your final decision. At the end of the day, the decision will be yours.

http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/816_1_105840774.html. What is wrong with this apart from the blue? Mum has agreed to a rifle to see what they actually do etc and is looking at the websites.

After the recent finding out that MOHW is a wee bit crap, I'd like to know if there are any good fps ps3 games out there apart from bf, cod and MOH....If you know please say!

If you happen to have missed it, then I'd recommend you play Spec Ops: The Line. You will learn more about the true nature of warfare and how it relates to video games than you may find comfortable if you do so. It's a real eye opener and will explain to you why you think most FPS war games are ultimately a bit crap.

You did what with the what now? There are a billion guides on this already - I'd suggest a bit of Googling, but basically you extract the mod folder (should start with an @) to the root of your ArmA 3 install, the use ArmA3Sync to detect those mod folders, adjust the command line accordingly and launch them with ArmA. 7Zip and Winrar are only there to uncompress the files - nothing more.
