  1. Its when you hear the "5.56 would have torn through those leaves!" yes but we're not playing with real ammo are we otherwise I think there wouldnt be an issue with the hit calling 😂
  2. Does anyone know of some decent airsoft channels where the people videoing dont have insane RIFs, just your average joe equipment/rifs?

      Check out @GAMBLE.

He has a down to earth tube channel which is worth a watch.

Don't know the link but @Brophydoes.

  3. One of the marshalls at Bristol has a shame bell on their phone that they use, if you're still faffing when its brief time then shame on you...
  4. Yep had it a few times where we'll turn up at 8am as advised, then first game starts at 11:30...............
  5. Why people need in excess of 1 hour for a lunch break at a game day. Adult players who get angry when younger/new players are confused or maybe staying a little behind so they dont get hit as much. I don't get what they gain from shouting at these newer players to push up while they themselves, in all their gucci gear, are the furthest back. But most of all, people who pre-fire the hell out of CQB like its CSGO. Pet hate of mine, don't understand what they really gain from it other than looking like a knob and using a load of ammo/gas. Luckily it seems to be mostly a stateside thing, along with their bang bang rule.
  6. CQB Yes as I really enjoy using my pistol (KJW M9 GBB) and dreamed of owning it for about 5 years, so any chance to use it is a yes yes yes. I dont think it provides too much advantage over anyone using a cqb rifle setup, if any but it does feel awfully nice especially when reloading (even though 90% of the time my 'tac' reload involves me fiddling about trying to open the velcro, and put the mag in for what seems an eternity)
  7. In my quest for an affordable WW2 Bolt Action rifle I think I'm going to have to force myself to like the K98...😕

If ytou don't mind something that will need work then patrolbase has a mosin in the boneyard section along with some gas Kar98s

I want the gas ones but they only hold like 8 rounds per mag and the co2 ones are 8g cartridges instead of 12g... don't fancy a spring one either. G&G k98s are known to suck ass.

True it only holds 8rds BUT it’s bolt action , and as we all know in airsoft bolt actions really are only of any use as a sniper so shouldn’t really matter ?

  8. That sounds absolutely amazing so props to whoever came up with it, definitely adds a unique dynamic to a game.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get it by the looks of things, everywhere I looked that sells in the UK has archived it and if TG doesnt ship to the UK my M1903 dreams are scuppered. Time to look for another WW2 bolt action...

I am hearing that PB are acting as an import agent for them at the moment, but no idea on how that works.

  9. Thank you both, you've been incredibly helpful. Personally I'm quite interested in the ham stuff as I know my grandad is also. I've signed up for the 3 week Essex ham course so I can learn what's required to pass the amateur exam and get the 27 pound license, so that shouldn't be an issue. I think I might go for the 8w version as mountain biking we do get quite split up if it's a longer trail with everyone going at their own pace. Just got to convince my friends to get it now and do the course so they have the knowledge too 😁 Thanks both for the help
  10. Time to research improving the CM16 and hopping my butter fingers dont fuck it up

Indeed, Maple Leaf rubbers can be long lipped. You might get lucky, or not. My Specna Arms feeds fine off its own mags with its own hop unit and a Maple Leaf, but doesn't like any other mags - I've been meaning to give it a little trim.

I actually think it is more to do with the barrel more than anything. If I swapped to my default barrel it seems okay. I know people say that AK hopups are more of a pain.

I'll second the above advice.   I think that the 16 is a good rif to start tinkering with.  It's so easy to break down that feeding issues are soon fixed.

  11. Hmm ok is there really a reason to go with the more expensive of these two? Or should I just go for the cheaper one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Baofeng-Distance-Amateur-Earpiece-Headset-Black/dp/B07X6T4HPM/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Baofeng-UV-5R-Range-Amateur-Radio-Black/dp/B07MW2L24Q/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=uv5r&qid=1631653671&qsid=257-9071435-8948420&sr=8-3&sres=B07MW2L24Q%2CB07X6T4HPM%2CB0834NFCLX%2CB08M5G7JZJ%2CB00YC375ZE%2CB08884JFPB%2CB08J7K5TKS%2CB082D2CKD6%2CB09BC4KZPD%2CB088HHNPXS%2CB08YNQLWW4%2CB014NNKF8Q%2CB07D4FKQHG%2CB01K1TO2DU%2CB06XC58MT2%2CB008RZ0F0K&srpt=TWO_WAY_RADIO
  12. Just bumping this to see if people had a more recent view/review of the site? I really like the idea of there being no scheduled breaks as one of my pet peeves at airsoft are the 1-1.5 hour lunch breaks and 45 minute 'tea' breaks throughout the day.
  13. This definitely, theres often bulk deals around of 10/20 low cap mags that you can split with friends and it makes it a lot more interesting
  14. USB Cable if we go for the UV5R will most likely be thishttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Baofeng-Programming-Compatible-BF-888S-Contains/dp/B09248RC78/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=baofeng+programming+cable&qid=1625576366&sprefix=baofeng+progra&sr=8-4 With regards to frequencies I, I have not, I dont even really know how setting them up would work, the only radios I've ever used you just selected a channel and spoke. Beat shift, I don't believe the UV5Rs have it but then again I'm not too familiar with what it is.
  15. Have you ever had any issues with water damage? Whenever we play it seems to piss it down with vengeance.
  16. Thanks both, one of my locals is Spartan Airsoft woodland, just wanted to make sure there was no risk of us somehow messing up and getting on the local airport frequencies or something
  17. Wow, very nice collection there. What make is the Uzi? Dont see too many of those around. Managed to grab myself an MTP jacket at the carboot so when I'm using the M1A1 Thompson I just throw some of my m4 mags in the many pockets ready to speedily fill my single Thompson mag 😁
  18. Friends and I are looking at getting some radios, the UV-5R seems like a decent shout and isn't too expensive and we can also use them while hiking it seems. I understand theres a need to get a loicense for it so I was wondering where abouts people would recommend courses for getting said license, as it seems theres some kind of test to get it according to this website: https://www.essexham.co.uk/baofeng-radio-without-licence I know you can probably get away with using one without having a license but its something that I would like to learn more about and figured these courses & getting a "amateur radio “Foundation” licence" would help with that. Any info as to how to go about getting the license and learning the necessary information would be great and if anyone has other radio recommendations that would be grand. Thanks
  19. Well after a year and  a half away from the sport, looks like I'll soon be able to jump back in. Any tips for making sure my kit is still in working order by the time I'm able to play (probably Jan 2022)? I've been charging batterys and firing off a mag or  two for the AEGs and then just kept the GBB mags up with some gas.

Er, it's an M4. It's literally one bolt, then split the receiver.  If the fake bolt piece falls out, meh, you don't actually need it.

@AK47frizzleThe good days indeed, but also the days where 13 year old me made a million "best gunz" threads. Its a shame to no longer see the old faces like Monty, Ed, Yawns, Zak, Del Monty etc but cool to see the forum is still flourishing none the less

@RogerborgI'll give it a go closer to the time and get back to you 😃

  20. Still waiting for that VFC Fal...

2021 has not been a good year for FN FAL releases...

  21. Picked this up last week, really good especially if you add the survivable crashes mod for when your Huey inevitably gets shot down. Definitely recommend doing some tunnel pvp with friends, its a blast
  22. If you haven't already I'd recommend Black Ops Cribs and Portishead, both great sites. Spartan Airsoft is the other side of Bristol and is a good outdoor woodland one, Bristol Courthouse like you said is AMAZING if you want to run things like pistol only for a bit of fun (although I've had quite a few issues there of people not taking hits/being general smooth brains). As mentioned above, Spartan CQB is a great site with a really good layout (although the lunch breaks/breaks between games are a bit long)
