  1. This is my latest patch...... After reading Amercian Sniper I couldn't resist. Whilst I appreciate that Craft International is now defunct with an air of controversy surrounding what went down, it's more around the design from the person.
  2. As Albiscuit quite eloquently put it, reach out to family & friends etc to see if there's a decent seemstress that you can get hold of. I'm fortunate that an Aunt of mine does just this, and she's carried out various repair jobs & amendments. My biggest drama is that I have short legs & a 32 waist, so I come up as medium but suffer with the length of the trousers! Good luck! Mike
  3. I've arranged a late evening to night skirmish at my local site, so it'd be rude not to have invested in these...... Looking forward to putting them into practice
  4. Here's my preference....... Face mask covering lower face including nose & ears with a set of mesh goggles, added a fast helmet for good measure so I completely avoid getting twatted anywhere above my neck! Face mask is between £15 - £20, good quality & has never failed me in the last 12 months
  5. Mods, please let me know if this isn't appropriate to post this here....... I've decided to pull an evening / night event together at the local Airsoft site that I attend. (Apocalypse Airsoft in Kent) Basically the idea was born out of me & a friend buying tracer units for our TM 416D Devrgu's. After testing the units with some tracer rounds (And watching a couple of night skirmishes on YouTube) we thought about how we'd like to 1) Test out our kit & light up each other with the tracer rounds & 2) Arrange something for those who have at some stage probably thought about the same idea! Speaking to others we found that there was an appetite for people to test their kit (NVG / Tracer units & bb's) but ultimately have a bit of fun & skirmish on a summer evening & into the darkness. So utilising the facilities at Apocalypse Airsoft, we've set up a date for an evening to night skirmish on Friday 26th June 2015. The principle of the evening is:- 19:00 Safety Briefing 19:30 Game 1 Dusk commences 21:00 30 minutes break for hot / cold refreshments 21:30 Game 2 Dusk / Night game resumes 23:30 Endex It's in it's infancy at the moment and we've asked the Marshals to scope the games out for us in advance for the 26th. The event will be going ahead and we're now into double figures bookings wise. If anyone would be interested in attending this event, I've set up a Facebook Event / Page under 'Night Skirmish' If you are interested, please join the event or feel free to drop me a message & I can tell you a little more about it. Thanks in advance Mike NightSkirmish.ppt

  7. Disappointing experience for you then.... Our local site generally doesn't tolerate this & have seen people banned because of behavioral issues, but there's always exceptions as you've stated
  8. This ranks up there with those who do not take their hits, really grinds my gears and takes away the trust element of any skirmish, whilst it's generally a case of letting a marshal know, I wholeheartedly agree that repeat offenders need to be lit up with a round of .25's!
  9. Welcome to the forum. We're lucky that we've a host of Airsoft sites in Kent... Apocalypse Airsoft (my regular haunt) Cool Under Fire Jungle Warfare Airsoft Quex Airsoft UCAP Sandpit And this isn't all of them... Like others have suggested, maybe get to some of these sites, all will do rentals & you'll get to see & feel in some cases what others are using, their experiences & what they have found works for them. Hope to see you around at some point Mike
  10. Thought i'd treat myself to one of these..... Have a couple of night games & a milsim on it's way so I thought it'd be rude not to! Tested it over the weekend and am very impressed, bb's light up really well whilst there was no visible light coming out which helps protect my location when firing. Looking forward to putting this into practice very soon
  11. AFAIK The guy who has set up Jungle Warfare Airsoft is looking to start a CQB site very soon as well, so there's definitely more options available. Apocalypse certainly allows two tone & clear guns (I really don't see why people have an issue with these imho), so might be a site for you to experiment. Mike
  12. Welcome! I'm from Kent, we've quite a few sites that are worth a look, such as:- UCAP Sandpit: Bluewater Apocalypse Airsoft: Detling Jungle Warfare: Lenham Battlelakes: Tunbridge Wells Cool Under Fire: Ashford & quite a few more to add as well! - So we're spoilt for choice. I regularly skirmish at Apocalypse, wholeheartedly recommend, attended the Pit a few times, again, a really good site. Checking out Jungle Warfare next weekend as well, hopes are high. May see you about Mike
  13. I've attached pictures of my solution, I wear a mesh black bear raider mask, wraps nicely around the face, the padded parts at the bottom are against the face but doesn't pinch / leave dodgy imprints etc. I have to wear mesh goggles as I just sweat too much, so needs must, but all in all, works perfect for me.
  14. Hello buddy, i'm also from Kent, skirmish at Apocalypse Airsoft / UCAP Pit & from this weekend will be going to the newly opened Jungle Warfare Airsoft, may bump into you at some point Mike
  15. No real magic beans here, mesh goggles from any good Airsoft supplier... Shouldn't pay anymore than a tenner for these (Your local site will probably sell them). Face Mask is a Black Bear variant I sourced from Ebay & the Fast Helmet, again sourced from Ebay.
  16. I'm a firm believer of covering your entire face after being twatted a couple of times in the face & head when I first started. I've opted for a mesh face mask which covers the ears as well, mesh goggles are my preference as i'm the worlds sweatiest man, lastly I went for a fast helmet which does the trick nicely, however I have worn a standard cap in the past which does the job just as well. Might not be everyone's cup for full face cover but works a charm for me, biggest plus is the confidence I have as previously I would turn away when people were shooting at me.
  17. Latest pics of mine with yet another different sight / scope & all internals upgraded
  18. Have been on the spend again.... Just received the gun back from Fire Support, all internals have been upgraded to bring the FPS up to 345 as out of the box as standard was firing 298 fps. The brief was that I wanted a little more range & a little more powerful so the upgrades should do the trick. Complementing the new upgrades, I decided to treat myself to an Elcan Specter DR sight (Replica) courtesy of Blackwolvesairsoft. - That's right... Another sight /scope! I will be putting the gun through it's paces on Sunday, looking forward to it seeing the results accordingly!
  19. Here's my set up. I use mesh goggles being a sweaty git so no fogging, face wise I wear a mask to compliment the mesh goggles, this covers all of my face & ears and then I wear a fast helmet as I've been twatted in the forehead a few times. It may be a bit of an overkill for some, but for me it gives me confidence & I'm find i'm always willing to charge face on in battle. I've recently bought a Go Pro with mount which fits in the fast helmet with no issues.
  20. Would be genuinely interested to know why the Bulldog Bb's are not recommended. I've been using them for some time & not had any issues, however would be open to peoples thoughts & steer as my experience within Airsoft is fairly limited Thanks in advance
  21. I wear a set of mesh goggles with a lower face mask combined so my face is full covered, I must admit when I first started it Airsoft I only wore the glasses, however after being twatted in the face a couple of times at close range I kept finding myself turning my back to anyone coming face on at close range which obviously wasn't good, so I opted for the mask, whilst it does have it's down sides I personally feel a lot more confident wearing it & am certainly a hell of a lot braver when face on at close proximity.
  22. Good point and there's a reason for it, I wear a face mask & looking down the length of sight whilst having my cheek pressed against the gun etc. is quite challenging & isn't instant, so sticking the bug buster on the side means I don't press my cheek against anything & not obscuring my sight!
  23. You guys - it's all about the meme's! Any how despite the p**s taking (I was thinking Inception... a sight within a sight within a sight.... Yes three layers!) the two sights suit my style of game play, this set up is when i'm skirmishing in dense woodland as I like to camp (Yes i'm a camper), the bug buster helps me with some spotting at distance through the dense woodland & for those that creep up the green dot does what it needs! For more open skirmishing (UCAP Sandpit etc.) it's just the green dot! Feeling that I'm needing to justify my necessity for my sight obsession!
  24. Not particularly heavy, the green dot sight weighs nothing at all so balances the two out. I'm far from what would be considered as strong (Fairly feeble actually!) and generally have no issues here.
  25. Here's a picture of my gun...... TM HK416D Devgru, have added a Green dot sight for closer targeting as well as a bug buster for longer range targeting. She's currently in at Fire Support having some upgrades to take the FPS to 345, looking forward to getting her back & putting to good use
