  1. So guns up to a £150 budget, Which has now narrowed down my rifle decision to 2 options; A G&G 30th edition rifle, or the PJ4 CASV. Taking any recommendations because im stumped as to which is better in terms of delivery from AW/TG, how well built the guns are and if they wont be lemons on their trek here. Thanks

So it looks a good 'un like I said

Still not sure about front end but it is deffo different to G&G's

      RabidNinja64

Well i hate going against everyone elses opinion for G&G ^_^ (Not really) but if its something that will function properly, wont break down on me in the first 2 weeks and is easy to maintain and change parts should they need it, then PJ4 will be the first rifle i've actually bought for myself, aside from the VFC mp7 and the PX4 :) You've all been a good help and a laugh, so should i need help or guidance, your all first to be pestered! xD

    1. jcheeseright

      jcheeseright

probably better getting a prescription insert made for them, less likely to fog up and purpose built.

  5. Missus turned round and gave me an ultimatum; Airsoft or Her. And here i am posting! xD

      Hef Legend

I have the 330 spring form the CM16 I stripped for the P*. So I'll either rebuilt the CM16 or sell on the Gearbox with both springs.

    4. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Whichever gets you more moolah in the long run, preferably. Id build the cm16 with whatever bits left over and sell that :)

  8. Behold, The Question Lord! I keep hearing mixed reviews about CYMA, and since i have my eyes on the AK series, would a full metal CYMA be deemed worthy?

A friend got a full metal one TWG, solid bit of kit for £140.

Some kid shot me with his Co2 pistol at close range, wasn't chrono'd. Left a scar and a lot of blood down my arm.

    3. NickM

      NickM

Got 3 scars from bb hits, the worst was from a CO2 pistol point blank into my fingernail bed it smashed the leather of the glove I was wearing and my skin. And torn cartilage in my right knee from slipping on mud then hitting a tree from a full run to a dead stop. 15 1/2 stone gets a lot of momentum going.

  11. Got £120 quid to my name :D what to buy!?!

Cheers guys :) ordering a gun though, really is gonna sting with the added tax I think.

    4. MILITATED

      MILITATED

I didn't get hit with tax because they stated it has less value than it does, and they put it as gift. Not sure if they'll do the same with a RIF, but I was supposed to get taxed due to the real price.

  13. Has anyone got any updates about KWA's KME45? nothing notable since 2014.....

    3. TacMaster

      TacMaster

For a modern company with access to CAD systems, rapid prototyping etc they take a fairly long time to get products into the market

    4. Spatch

      Spatch

No one has actually seen anything other than some shady pictures but they are no longer magpul esque, there is doubt whether they will have any trades on at all until they are seen in the flesh, certainly no magpul/PTS parts on them anymore

  14. Anyone who's familiar with the TV show Banshee knows the immense pain right now........

  15. Building my own m4, but buying a complete gearbox; question is, whats the difference between having plastic or metal internals?

      Sitting Duck

Good quality parts help but mean very little if assembled badly.

Mediocre bits n bobs will perform very well if assembled correctly. Reckon 25% parts 75% attention to detail or fitting

    3. Adam3088

      Adam3088

Got quite a lot of ZCI stuff in my SCAR now, been very impressed with the quality so far. No idea how well their hop's perform though.

Also AK2M4 have awesome service (thanks for the motor pete!).

    4. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Well i've been holding back on building this thing for quite some time, but since my primarys started failing on me, i kinda figured i needed a new hobby ;) other than that, im fairly experienced in whacking bits and bobs together OUTSIDE of the gearbox. Inside, well.....first time i messed around with a gearbox i ended up selling and ultimate gearbox in pieces for £20......

  16. Rephrase due to idiocy: is there such a thing called internal o-rings, located inside the fill valve?

    1. M_P

      M_P

Yeah most have small o-rings in tnem

    2. M_P

      M_P

No idea of the specific name though but if you go to Halfords or something I'm sure they'll have a load of small ones

  17. happy days :3 turns out my px4 mags were leaky because the threading was loose :3 easy fix and only one needed PTFE tape

  18. In the mood to go clubbing :D Anyone know where to find babyseals? x'D jokes of ofcourse; i know where they are!

    3. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

because a 2 triple mag pouches that are empty is heavy enough xD nah, just decided to sling my M4 on the vest as it was hanging up...bad choice......

  20. Got some clips of previous airsoft games that need editing; anyone know a decent 32-bit editing system that wont spaz out over 1080p AVI files?

    1. Tad

      Tad

      The Adobe Premier works well.

    2. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

      Unfortunately doesnt support a 32-bit system :(

  21. Tempted with a D-boys 416, but the branding severely puts me off; anyone got recommendations?

    1. Show previous comments  2 more
    2. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

lol by branding i actually meant in terms of the quality of their clones, considering they arent necessarily known (to me) for putting out any decent weapons.

    3. THE FNG

      THE FNG

I've owned both TM AND vfc SCARs....TM's are far superior!

    4. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

Thing to remember is mag compatibility with many 416's as magwell is a bit bigger than regular M4 - mid caps work best in my hk-416.

nice gun but it does need a few upgrades - mainly hop unit and getting good mags

      stock mag is w@nk

  22. Hmmm; £250 for a Honey badger or £160 for a GC16 Mod0 30th anniversary?

  23. Having a spot of bother looking for an CAA AEG polymer hopup replacement. Anyone got eyes on? :)

    1. Rock-climby-Dave

      Rock-climby-Dave

It's just a standard M4/M16 type hop unit. an asg Ultimate or Pro win should fit

  24. Thought #2: Would a GBB mp7 be woodland skirmishable? practically my only working gun till the m4 comes out of repair!

      RabidNinja64

the hop on the VFC is alright tbf; ive yet to hold a TM to know the difference but given the chance id probably swap for one :P other than that the cooldown on VFC isn't too harsh either, just more preferable to stay on single shot

    3. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Then again saying that for a woodland game, i intend to be running around quite abit in a sort of "lone wolf" perspective.
